  1. if your running 1080p you might be running into a bottle neck with your cpu. the only thing i can think of is watch individual cores on your cpu.
  2. only one i can think of is a logitech g403.
  3. i have an acer xf250q 240hz monitor and the blur is pretty bad when running at 200+ fps. the option is unavailable and ive been searching everywhere trying to find out how to fix this with no results. i have stumbled among acer forums that are over a year old with people having the same issue with the same monitor and the forum will be a complete ghost town. ive been searching around and 1 of the forums i stumbled upon said to turn freesync off but theres no option in the setting in the monitors overlay to do so but its turned off in windows. this issue is starting to make me consider going back to my msi optix g24c but if i can resolve this then i will be happy but it looks like ill be changing to another monitor early if i cant get this resolved.
  4. The only upgrades you can go for is the i5 or i7 but for the price of the cpu you could get a ryzen cpu and motherboard. Then you have other limitations like power draw and stuff like that. By the time you get everything upgraded you will only have a shell of your original pc. If i were in your shoes id sell it and find a cheap used ryzen system someone needs to get rid of and use that as a base to get started. My rig originally started out with a b450 and a 2700x but i eventually updated the bios and i am now running a 3900x. Regardless if you try to upgrade to a modern cpu a new motherboard will be needed as intel decided to lock down chipsets. Upgrades are very limited on your platform and getting off the current platform your on will be the best bet.
  5. If i were you i would sell your current pc and build a budget rig as on that platform your looking at more money than what its worth.
  6. Your welcome. I only know this mainly because i own a g24c as a second monitor.
  7. Gotta be careful on which ram you get because my 2700x didnt like 3200mhz at all but then again i had amazing silicon quality allowing 4.2ghz all core oc at 1.375 volts.
  8. No he cut up the stock cooler to fit an evga aio to it and id like to stay away from those kinds of coolers because theyre large and very obnoxious. But at one point i was looking at one of the lower end msi 1080tis and they shre very similar pcbs.
  9. You have to run display port as on alot of msi monitors the hdmi is capped off at 120hz.
  10. Bought a titan x pascal a while back and the guy hacked the cooler apart to install an aio. Just recently noticed the temps are gradually getting worst and worst by the day like the pump is getting weak. Trying to find a titan x pascal cooler is not gonna happen as ive tried looking and ive found nothing. I was thinking on a 1080ti blower cooler but knowing that the dvi obstructs the path of air flow causing slightly higher temps and lower boost clocks so i was thinking of leaving this idea in the back of my head if worst comes to worst. I was thinking of finding a cooler from an aib partner 1080ti but im not sure what cooler i should look for because of custom cards. I was also thinking of running custom loop but for what it cost to build 1 id be better off to buy a 1080ti. So id like opinions on what route i should take with this weather itd be best to sell it and upgrade to a 1080ti or keep it and slap a 1080ti cooler on it.
  11. so i ordered a rma rx580 card off of ebay and it had the screen flickering issue that i solved with a bios flash and i came to figure out that i was able to oc the card to 1480 just on power limit alone. The card was stable so now i have it running at 1380 with -10% on the power limit. also the gpu is a xfx rx580 gts xxx 8gb card. i am also up to do more tests with the card as i wanna see how low i can bring the power sliders at the cards stock frequency.
  12. ok after a solid half hour of research and a bit of testing it is the power ok line as it was only generating 1.3 volts when i started the system and when i spamed the bios reset i was able to push the voltage up the 3 volts which then alowed the system to start on next voltage spike
  13. this seems very likely because what happens when i short the power pins on the board is that the psu will not attempt a start up a second time until i shut the unit down and wait for about 5 seconds to hear the capacitors discharge. im just wondering saying that this is in fact a chinese motherboard is if the power is unstable when the system fully starts and the only way i can think of getting around the power good signal is somehow getting 5 volts to be present long enough for the board to start.
  14. i got it to work with the psu but i wouldnt do it as it can really shorten the life span of the power supply and that is if i kept shorting the reset cmos pins it will turn on but like i said its not very good for the psu but i was able to get a cinibench run and a 3d mark run with my ram overclocked to 1866mhz and the system scored 12000 on firestrike dx11 and the cinibench score didnt change much as it scored a 1078
  15. im not sure i think its short circuit protection but the board works perfectly fine also there is a chance it could be over voltage protection because of the chipset and whatnot but who knows
