    Second OS on second Drive.

Heya everyone, So this is a little random one but I did a new pc build a few months back and now have a spare old 1TB HDD and recently I've toyed with the idea of going on the deep web and dark web. So I know there are risks with doing this but if I set up a separate drive purely for this so having a VPN, TOR browser and maybe a free Anti Virus would this sound okay? Thank you in advance. Gurky

    Sky Q wifi booster

Not yet says connected but isn't. I'm using my powerline adapters so I might try plugging directly in to the Sky Q next. Gonna reset and try again.

    Sky Q wifi booster

Thanks man I'm currently doing this: https://community.sky.com/t5/Broadband/Using-2nd-Sky-Q-Hub-as-access-point/td-p/2845054

    Sky Q wifi booster

Yes it just happens to be I have two sky routers given to me.

    Sky Q wifi booster

Ooo that's just what I'm reading about because I do have a pair of them.

    Sky Q wifi booster

So this maybe a little confusing but I have a Sky Q hub at home but in my bedroom the signal is a little patchy but my friend has given me another sky Q hub and one of the older hubs I'll list the model number below and I wanted to know if it would be possible to set up the second Sky Q hub as a booster basically to get a better Wi-Fi signal up in my room. The Sky Q hub model is ER110 The other hub is model SR102 The Sky Q does have 5GHz but I'm not super fussed about that as I only have 3 products that work on that. I have found an article that says I can use it as a booster but has to be plugged in to the main Sky Q hub which slightly defeats the point having them next to each other. Thank you for any help in advance. Gurky

    Intel optane issues.

Sorry you've lost me. How can I rectify the issues I previously stated?
  9. Gurky

    Intel optane issues.

That's the idea of optane right? To act as a cache but there is software to set it up.
  10. Heya guys, So I've just done a new w build pc all new but my sshd and ssd, my is stored on my sshd btw. When I try and run the application for optane to set up it just says motherboard configuration issues. The board I got was the gigabyte z370p d3 specifically because it said intel optane ready. (note to self not optane ready) I spoke to intel and they said change a setting in the bios to disabled and it'll work but when I do it just bootloops back to the bios. The other thing I've noticed is that my task manager says 6.8/24.9GB I only have 2x8gb installed Anyone any ideas?
  11. Afternoon all so this is probably going to be me doing some babbling to try and get my question out in a way that can be answered. Just to start I know (and I hope most people do) that in terms of speed HDD is the slowest followed by SSHD (Hybrid drive) then fastest being SSD. So what exactly are all these other types of a believe SSD. Such as M.2 which i think plugs directly in to the motherboard and also PCIE drives such as I think Intel Optane drives. I'll attach a few photos so maybe that can help. Thank you in advance Gurky

    What next?

My MOBO supports 4 Slots for Ram?
  13. Gurky

    What next?

Budget is a funny one haha I'm not got a budget but I don't want to spend loads of money if that makes sense!
  14. Gurky

    What next?

Ooo yes sorry I have a 1 TB HDD and a 240 SSD with my games on, I didn't put my OS on it as my friend found a lot of software would want to go on the same drive as the OS but i may swap my HDD for a SSHD. And would you say DDR4 RAM?
  15. Afternoon, I have had my current PC build around 2 years now and thought maybe its time to upgrade but personally I'm one to just upgrade one bit at a time where possible. I am currently pretty happy with my build I'm probably going to wait a little but thought I'd get some ideas now and see what happens! So my current spec is as follows: Intel core I5 4460 running @ 3.2 GHz GIGABYTE 1150 H81M-H M-ATX HyperX FURY 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR3 1866 MHz Nvidia Geforce GTX 960 2GB Corsair CX500 PSU What do people think my next thing to upgrade be and if I do what should I upgrade to not much point jumping to an top range I7 as it will bottleneck so badly. At the moment the only thing I feel is letting me down is my RAM at only 8GB but is the upgrade worth it with the rest of my rig? If people want to give me prices to I'm very much open to eBay for all but CPU! Thank you in advance Gurky
