I recently purchased a new laptop, it has the regular 5400rpm wd sata HDD and one empty m.2 slot.
I want to increase the performance of HDD. I found two solutions 16GB Intel Optane Cache Memory (m.2) and 128GB m.2 SSD.
Both are almost same in price.
I found many helpful content about SSDs but there is not a single post/blog/video on internet about installing Optane memory in a notebook, all of theme are about installation in desktop pc.
I also found that my laptop's (lenovo IP330s i5-8250u) BIOS and mother board are compatible with Optane memory because I am able to successfully install the Optane setup and change the sata connector's mode to the compatible one.
Which one is better in performance prospective (**not storage prospective**)?
