  1. The M2M is already in use, so my only option is to install it in the furthest one (M2P_32G) and I just wanted to know if I would lose performance. So, If I don't have anything installed in PCIEX4 I wouldn't have to lose performance, right?
  2. I've been thinking about changing the slot of my M.2 because it's currently under my GPU and it makes the temperatures higher than normal (50-58ºC Idle and 60-67ºC Working). Specifications: -CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K 3.7Ghz -RAM: G.Skill Trident Z DDR4 3200 PC4-25600 16GB 2x8GB CL14 -Motherboard: Gigabyte Z370 AORUS GAMING 7-OP -GPU: Gigabyte AORUS GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Xtreme Edition 11G -SSD M.2: Samsung SSD 970 Pro NVMe PCI-E M.2 512 GB The motherboard has installed an Intel Optane 32GB in the M2M_32G connector (the closest to the CPU) and I have installed the SSD M.2 in the M2A_32G (which is in the middle). My question is if I could install my M.2 SSD in the M2P_32G (the furthest) without losing much performance. I've attached 3 screenshots about the specs in the manual. In the last screenshot that talks about the connections in the M2P_32G (in which I want to install the SSD M.2) there is a note that says: The PCIEX4 slot shares bandwidth with the M2P_32G connector. The PCIEX4 slot operates at up to x2 mode when a PCIe SSD is installed in the M2P_32G connector. I don't know how this will affect the performance. Here is the manual if someone wants to check it: Manual of the Motherboard (Pages 32-33)
  3. No, Windows is installed on the SSD, if I try to select the HDD to install Windows on it, an error appears that says: "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu." All this has happened after formatting the PC, since the first time the HDD appeared in the boot options and allowed me to install Windows on it, but after formatting I can't.
  4. I have the motherboard GIGABYTE Z370 AORUS GAMING 7-OP. When I installed Windows 10 for the first time the HDD (WD Black 2TB SATA3 7200rpm) appeared well but now in the boot options it does not appear, but instead it says that it is installed and if I try to install Windows 10 on it, it says that I can not install it and check the drivers (of the HDD) if they are enabled in the BIOS. Here I leave some screenshots of the BIOS configuration. In the first screenshot, the HDD appears as a device in "SATA INFORMATION"
  5. I have the motherboard GIGABYTE Z370 AORUS GAMING 7-OP which includes a 32GB Intel Optane module that I could not activate because to activate it you need to have CSM disabled and I could not disable because I had installed Windows 10 in Legacy Mode, not UEFI. So I decided to reset and reinstall Windows 10. The problem appears when I disable CSM that makes disappear from the options of boot my SSD (Samsung SSD 970 Pro NVMe M.2 512 GB), the Intel Optane Module and my HDD (WD Black 2TB SATA3 7200rpm). Another important fact is that when I installed Windows 10 for the first time the HDD appeared well but now in the boot options it does not appear (it does not matter if I have enabled or disabled CSM, it never appears), but instead it says that it is installed and if I try to install Windows 10 on it it says that I can not install it and check the drivers if they are enabled in the BIOS. When I disabled CSM did not detect the USB with Windows 10 either, I do not know if it can be because the USB was in Legacy mode and therefore it does not detect it. I would like to know why it does not let me boot the HDD or install Windows 10 on it.
