  1. guess i'll have to undo my loop and use something else over the little contacts inside the CPU to see if anything changes.
  2. I used Conductonaut Liquid metal as paste between the dye and the IHS and glued the IHS back on with high temperature silicone. I covered the little contacts inside also with the silicone. Temps were around 60°C max under full load @5GHz. Running XMP for the Memory so just overclocked to the factory specs @3200MHz Voltage on the CPU was 1.35V and Windows was installed when i coudlnt run 1 hour without BSOD while idling at the desktop, which was fairly recent.
  3. Hello Forum, it's been a while! So I delidded my 8700k quite some time ago and i started experiencing BSOD alot in this time. I only get BSOD's when I overclock my CPU, no matter the Speed, no matter the voltage. Overclocking the memory or my GPU does not result in any issues. I ran the CPU without a delid @5.0GHz stable before all this, could the CPU just have gone bad? I always get either a Kernel error, System Service Exception, Kmode Exception not handled, and the sort... At this point i reverted the CPU back to all core 4.3GHZ and ive been running crash free since, but this is honestly no solution to my issue. I also tried reinstalling Windows, nothing changed tho. Would greatly appreciate any help you guys can give me.
  4. Thought having it in my signature was enough, i got the CPU running at 5ghz at 1.35v, ever since i got it pretty much.
  5. You should try Monster Hunter World, this game is a real PC Rapist, CPU 50-80% and GPU at 100%. It's most likely due to bad optimization tho on the CPU Utilization side... and 2560x1440p
  6. Alright hey everyone, I just recently put together my first Custom Loop and noticed the temperature on my 8700k has not dropped a single degree than from using my 280mm AIO from Corsair (80-83°C Stresstest). Although the temps on my GPU have dropped significantly. I have 2 rads in the loop, one 420x30mm rad from corsair, and one 280x60mm from alphacool. The CPU block is the EKWB Nickel plated Copper Classic RGB. I used the thermal compound provided by EKWB. Is the only way to drop my temps delidding with liquid metal and undervolting? If so is it really worth buying a delidding tool for 30 bucks, only to use it once and never again? Thanks alot in advance.
  7. Sup everyone, I'm looking for a case with a tempered glass side panel, maybe even front. I want to use my Radiator as intake and i want to see my RGB 140mm fans in the front, which are placed on my huge 280mm radiator, but I need atleast 1 5.25" slot for an ODD. I want to stay within a reasonable price range with good cable management, And enough room for a second GPU, if i decide for hardcore 4k gaming, but thats like really optional. Here are all the specs im working with: GPU: 11GB Geforce GTX 1080 Ti ROG Strix Gaming CPU: i7-8700k 6x 3.70GHz CPU-Cooler: NZXT Kraken x62 v2 Mobo: Asus ROG Strix Z370-F Gaming Ram: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3200mHz PSU: 850 Watt Corsair TX-M Series TX850M Modular 80+ Gold SSD: 250GB Samsung 860 Evo 2.5" HDD: 4000GB Seagate Barracuda Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
