  1. Yeah, I contacted the official palit support email support@palit.com That's the email I received the file from is support@plait.biz and that's where they asked fore the SN ETC
  2. Long story short. I was having some trouble with my 3070 "BIOS updater" on their website. It stated that the BIOS didn't need to be updated. Palit sent me a file (with google drive btw, rather unprofessional) The new Bios has rendered my GPU unusable, it stutters constantly and performs badly. The file they gave me seems to be a much earlier version or for a different card entirely. I can't find the old bios file and have no idea how to update it, the BIOS "updater" says the same thing even when its not the same version number.
  3. I have a had a noise in my PC that I have isolated to my 3070 I ran thunder master and set a custom fan spepd of 30% the more i push it the more annoying the sound gets. I rang Palit and had a long chat with the support, it seems that the repair would take a VERY long time. What are my options? Sound like a loose bearing
  4. I meant any other bios version. 1602 has lots of increased input lag compared to the 1202, so not sure why you would want a broken beta version anyway
  5. Would you be able to check if you can flash BIOS from 1602 to another BIOS? The stable release is 1202.
  6. That's the bios flashback, but I'd like to do it using EZ flash in the bios
  7. I flashed to the latest Beta Bios 1602. I noticed an increase in inout latency and wanted to go back to the stable 1202 BIOS. When I try to flash I get the error "Selected file is not proper bios!" I Formatted my USB to fat 32 and also tried MBR volume The file is renames etc and have tried the direct bios before. Asus reuploaded the 1602 BIOS the other day so maybe they uploaded the wrong files?
  8. The issue: Unless I default my NVCP benchmarks and games stutter badly with severe screen tearing So I have been using my new system happily for a month or two. I decided to add a Samsung 970 Evo Plus 500gb NVME to my system. I had to removed the graphics card and the clip was being annoying. No force really applied but a few creaks. I ran a heaven benchmark upon windows install and immediately noticed very bad stuttering and a sort of "across the screen" sort of tearing, like the whole screen was going through a tear. I assumed the drive was faulty so I did this very methodical checking. 1. Placed older SSD's in place and re-installed windows on them, the same issue appeared on the old drives 2. Tried multiple NVdia drivers, all DDU'd, nothing worked. 3. Reseated all components apart from CPU (no need) 4.Changed M2 port. 5. I assumed that my GPU was broken, nothing left to test. 6. I defaulted Nvidia control panel and the issue mysteriously disappeared. I then went and re-enabled my previous settings (performance mode "prefer" and "Quality" Texture filtering and its still gone! 7. I loaded up my other SSD with windows and performed the same test and its also gone! 8. Tried different display port Surely a windows re-signal of a disk part cleaned drive wouldn't do this. My SSD's never did this and even when re-installing windows fully on the SATA drives they do the same. It's as if my GPU is storing incorrect information. Have NO idea how this is happening. 5600x (stable 1202 bios) Palit 3070 16gb 3600Mhz CL16 EVGA G2 650w Samsung 970 Evo plus 500gb +samsung 860 250gb + Kingston 250gb
  9. I installed a 970 evo plus 500gb into my system. I noticed in my games that I was getting micro stuttering and visual artefacts (sort of like excessive tearing) I went to heaven benchmark, where I always test that is smooth as butter and it wont run properly, there are obvious micro stutters and pauses, not smooth at all. I unplugged my other SSD's, but I can't see a problem here. Is it a faulty drive?
  10. Samsung 970 was installed and completely windows re-install was completed. Games are stuttering, lagging when they didn't on my normal 860 evo SSD. Thoughs? 5600x 3070
  11. I just installed an M2 and none of my other driver showed up in the bios booting. I had to install windows to the New drive without doing my data transfer (which I should have done before) My other SSD still has windows on it, but I cant see it to copy and of my files across. I went to disk management but it wasn't there.
  12. So I found the config and changed LOD scale to 1.0. The issues was massively reduced but is still there, I'm guessing the games I tested haven't optimized for the 3070 yet!
  13. So I went into the apex config and found LOD scale. I set it to 1.0 and mad eth file read only. The issue is drastically reduced but still there slightly. Must be a bug, if it were my hardware then changing the LOD scale wouldn't have done that. Guess the two games I tested don't like the 3070 yet or the issues haven't been discovered!!
  14. Originally I was thinking it is a bug in apex with the 3070 and the 5600x, but re-installs aren't doing anything. Yeah it doesn't look like artifacts and if it were the GPU it wouldn't just be specific textures right?
  15. Thanks, going to look for that in the Config because there isn't any in apex settings only texture streaming budget. Ill let you know if it works
  16. Here is a video of the problem. My friend doesn't have the issue and I didn't used to either. https://streamable.com/lrje2s
  17. Yeah originally I thought it was only a bug in Apex. It didn't happen on my 1070 and I was with a friend with a 1060 who streamed for me and the textures weren't changing. Can make a video later for sure
  18. Ill run that test later. I was underclocking the VRAM to see if it wasn't able to run at its rated speed but the problem persisted.
  19. I turned off DOCP. Why would that cause texture problems?
  20. 5600x Palit 3070 16gb 3600mhz CL16 2x 250gb SSD Evga G2 650w Thanks
  21. Testing Apex, the textures if many assets are switching between low-high texture options. Can see that strafing back and forth. I went to another game and it was the same. Benchmarks aren't seeming to do it (although the shadows in heaven on the first houses are shimmering, which a friend confirmed is happening for them, but I cant see that in a video. I underclocked the Vram and core clocks and its the same 1. Reinstalled windows 2. DDU'd to older drivers 3. Changed settings My fps is locked and the same thing happens with different texture settings. Is my 3070 broken, I really hope not after all I've tried to get a working PC! 5600x Palit 3070 16gb 3600mhz CL16 2x 250gb SSD Evga G2 650w
  22. So I got a friend to do the test and they say that the front shadows on the houses inn the beginning are flickering for them too.
