  1. Speaking of CPUs I've got a Ryzen 2600x, should I consider upgrading that before the GPU?
  2. So is that yes to the first question and no to the second?
  3. Would you consider going from an AMD RX Vega 64 to a 6650 XT an upgrade? If so, would it be an upgrade worth $400?
  4. So I initially ordered the first one but it's on back order, but it looks like the second one I can pick up today in store. I just can't figure out what the differences is... ASUS AX5700 WiFi 6 Gaming Router (RT-AX86U) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BJHS3X7/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_01XGYTZKMPBXWM8ZEGD5 RT-AX86S https://www.bestbuy.com/site/searchpage.jsp?id=pcat17071&st=asus+ax5700+wifi
  5. So I'm helping sister build a PC for photo editing (which I know nothing about, I just build gaming rigs lol) and I'm trying to figure out what would be a good CPU for her. Someone suggested she get a 3700x but that seems like over kill, especially since I've been hearing that Photoshop doesn't really take advantage of multiple cores? it seems like she'd be better off going with Intel since they seem to do more with with one core than ryzen does? Also, please don't suggest something absurd like thread ripper lol that's way more than she needs
  6. i'm pretty sure it's happening all the time, not just during gaming sessions. it's just most noticeable at those times.
  7. also. when ever i test my internet speed there's a giant cliff right in the middle of it
  8. Anyone else had problems with the Wi-Fi on this motherboard? I'm using the included external antenna, but I keep having the same issue: when ever I try and play a game online, from runescape to overwatch, it'll be fine for about 8 to 10 seconds, and then everything will freeze up for a second or 2, it literally happens all the time, non stop. I thought the problem was with the signal (I'm renting a guest house in my landlords back yard and we have a Wi-Fi extender), but I just tried playing something on another computer in the guest house that's about 7 years old and the connection was fine.
  9. What would be the minimum required hardware to run a server for a game like Ark or Conan: exiles?
  10. Yeah, I'm an idiot, the label on the mother board was just a little out of line, it is another sata port (using a flashlight helped a lot too lol), anyways tried using a different sata port, still isn't detecting, not even in the bios. I think the sata connector on the hard drive itself might be the problem, it's always been super loose, like the cable can fall out loose
  11. So I can only find one port marked sata (working on an Itx board) can I plug a hard drive into a USB 12v port?
  12. So for some reason my second hard drive (an HDD) isn't showing up anywhere and i obviously can access anything that was installed on it (ALL of my games). It's not under My PC, it's not in Computer management, it's not in Device Manager, and i ran a chkdsk in Command Promt and the total space it showed was only equal to my boot drive (and yes the cables are connected). I fell like there might be a few more things i could try in command promt to try and detect it (I had to do a bunch of stuff in there when i first got it, but i can't find the youtube video now). The link to my HDD is below, it's less then a year old. if there is a way to save it i'd prefer not to reformat it if possible. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078TJ17QF?tag=pcpapi-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1
  13. So I just moved to a new place and had to down grade to a much smaller desk. This means I'm going to have to set my PC on the floor which isn't ideal because I have carpet and my GPU pulls air from uder the case. I have an SFX case so I could set it on top of my subwoofer but I'm concerned about the vibrations messing something up (specifically my HDD). should I be concerned about this or would it not be a problem?
  14. Just to be clear, I'm shutting it down normally, and then switching off the PSU to turn off the LEDs that stay on even when it's off.
