  1. im looking to build my first pc for around $1000. unfortunately, because it is my first computer in general, that means the monitor and peripherals need to be included in that price. i have a few ideas, but im getting impressions from people that what i have wont allow me to play destiny 2, which is my main goal with this rig. if someone is able to give me an idea with what i should change or if overclocking should get the job done, that would be great. 2. im looking to build my first pc soon with a budget of 1000 dollars, monitor and peripherals included. my main goal is to be able to play destiny 2, as well as apex legends, warframe, and some other lighter titles. here is a link to my build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8rhJjy if anyone is able to help me make improvements both in perfromance and looks, that would be great. i definitely want a new case, but thats not as important to me as other things.
  3. so i'm putting parts together for my build, and im currently looking at running 9 flo riing 120mm case fans, including my cpu cooler. is anyone able to tell me if i'll have enough fan headers on the Asus - STRIX B350-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard for all of them, or if i'll an alternative way to power them? im also running the rog strix 1080, so i have 2 headers in there. i need 7 more. thanks a lot.
  4. @CableModhere it is. thanks. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/LolTrooper57/saved/hLXLJx
  5. are you able to help me figure out which cables ill need?
  6. if you use the pcpartpicker website and put all the pieces for your build into a parts list, it will give you an estimated watt usage for the whole build, which gives you a decent gauge to give you an idea for a pcu. I'd suggest a minimum 80+ Gold efficiency. i found an evga 650w 80+ Gold for $50. however, if your pc takes more than that, it may be difficult to find a cheao 80+ Gold psu. there's nothing wrong with anyting lower than 80+ Gold, all it means is that you'll get the best cheap solution for power.
  7. Wasn't too sure where to put this, but I figured this would be a smart place. I'm building my first pc, and want to make it presentable to where I can proudly show it off without gross ketchup and mustard cables. is anyone able to tell me where I can find orange and white extension cables? Price isn't too much of an issue, however lower the better.
  8. ok thanks. i stuck with the 32 after all, but thank you for helping me out
  9. im trying to keep the lowest price possible, so this is more of a brainstorm and less of a plan. i may end up spending the extra money, but i was curious...
  10. so people would say that you shoul get the 1080 now, however, the next gen gpu's may very well drop within the next couple of months. it may be a while to wait, but seeing as the 1080 is a great gpu in general, you might want to wait until the next gens drop so you can either get a next gen or a cheap current gen, maybe even a 1080TI because of the demand the new gpu's will retain. but thats just speculation. i could be 100% wrong, so whatever feels right
  11. Is it possible to run a Geforce GTX 1080TI on 16gb of ram with decent streaming capabilities? im looking to upgrade the monitor of my first pc build and downgrading to 16gb (currently sitting at 32gb) of ram will allow me to move up from a 60hz 2560x1080 to a 144hz 2560x1080 monitor. my concern is that playing on 16gb of ram may cause a problem on a display of that refresh rate and resolution, all while streaming (hopefully). the games i would like to be able to stream smoothly is Warframe, Overwatch, and Rainbow Six Siege. is anyone able to offer some advice?
