  1. I found a test that Seasonic had on their website that involved shorting out the motherboard pin with a paper clip. Anyways, the fan is spinning, so supposedly that means the power supply is good? edit: I plugged the cables all back in and powered it on and it surprisingly worked. Hopefully it doesn’t happen again. Thanks for your help!
  2. sadly no. Any other way I can test for it?
  3. No fans spin. Sounds like the hard drive might start to spin but it’s a dull sound and hard to tell.
  4. My motherboard has no LEDs unfortunately.. would it be a PSU problem even if the power LED on the case is lighting up?
  5. Hey all, I built a PC maybe 2/3 years ago and it has worked flawlessly. Today I was playing a game, and my computer crashed, which is something that rarely happens but I wasn’t worried. I reset the PC, and it worked fine. Anyways, I went to do some other stuff and came back. My PC had gone to sleep, and I hit the power button to turn it back on... nothing. I tried hitting reset, unplugging power, resetting the power supply and all leads to nothing. Whenever I “turn on” my computer all that happens is the power LED turns on, but none of the fans or other systems start up. I tried unplugging/replugging the power/reset on the motherboard, but got the same result. Not sure what to do. I was thinking about trying to reseat my CPU to see if that does anything, but I figured I’d get others opinions first. Any help is appreciated. thanks
  6. I'm looking for a new case for my build. I currently have the Cooler Master MasterBox Pro. It is okay, but it isn't the best. What I'm looking for: -Dust filtration -RGB is a plus (but not required) -Good airflow -Fan controller is a plus -Needs to be an ATX case What I like: (just for reference) Lian Li 011 Dynamic Corsair 680X The Lian Li case is great but I believe it is meant more for loops, and there is not a spot to mount a fan in the back. Also, I have heard the air version has a problem with temps and the dust filter. The 680X is nice but it is also really expensive. I have looked at the 580X and I like it but I also do not like that the back side is also tempered glass. I don't have many case fans either, so if any are included let me know! Thanks
  7. Don’t have a spare, but I can get a connection to the internet, just takes like a few minutes to load a simple google search... but it works after awhile
  8. I cannot do it because the modem is across the house. Makes it a little harder for the power line becuase of the range but like I said it worked perfect for MONTHS with the same config. To connect directly I would have to move my entire pc and monitor across the house. I’ve been wanting to call in a guy to wire it through the stoic but haven’t yet
  9. Don’t know if this is the right little sub-forum, but I tried troubleshooting and didn’t get a response there. Anways, I have been using power line for a while now with no problems. Internet worked good enough and I have never needed to do anything about it. Recently, my internet wasn’t connecting. I unplugged the power line adapters, plugged them back on on both sides, reset the modem, etc. Same problem. My internet went from live able to not even able to load google. I did not switch ISP, the WiFi on my phone works fine, but the internet connection from the power line might as well not even be there. Don’t know what to do. 10. I can delete the shortcut of the application but not actually uninstall it, which is what I want to do
  11. Hey, I just reformatted my boot drive after it was working incorrectly, but everything installed on my hard drive was not touched. After the reformat, I realized I cannot open up MSI Afterburner (on my HDD), and I would like to reinstall it. There are also a few other programs on my HDD that I would like to uninstall; however, I realized that none of these apps on my HDD are in the "Programs and Features," so I do not know how to uninstall them. Can someone tell me how to uninstall them? Thanks for the help.
  12. Hey, I have a problem with my SSD not starting up as quickly as it should (black screen on windows boot for about 2 minutes) and I contacted WD support. They asked me to backup and reformat the drive. I have a lot of files on my boot drive that I would not like to re-download, so can someone walk me through the process of backing up then reformatting my drive, or maybe link another post or YouTube video which shows how to do this? Thanks.
  13. Hey all, Today I came home, turned on my PC, and noticed that my keyboard wasn't working or even lighting up. I tried another USB port, and sure enough, it worked. So now I know that something is wrong with my USB port, but I am not sure want to do. All of the other USB ports work and the PC works fine. I am now wondering if there is an easy way to fix this, or should I see if I can get a replacement from warranty. If you're wondering, my mobo is the ASRock AB350 Pro4. I also heard some weird sounds coming from my Cooler Master ML120, and I checked for any leaks: there were none. Thanks ahead of time for any help. Edit: I also have a bent RGB header on my board so it wouldn't be a horrible thing for me to try and get a replacement
