  1. Update on the 750 Ti - It didn't do much after the reinstall. My power consumption for the gpu is showing as being 'very high' (this has been the case since i started re-using the card). The card is always pulling tons of power and hitting 100 %. Do you think changing the mobo slot might help ?
  2. I see. i will try this. Also, do you think it was caused mainly due to voltage or the gpu (being defective) ?
  3. Are you suggesting i let them solder on a new fuse or try to get a new one ? Obviously i'd prefer a new one. But isn't it zotac's decision ?
  4. Thank you for this info. When i first contacted zotac via mail they told me burn damage would void my warranty (i hadn't shared the pic then). I initiated contact again with a zotac rep from reddit, hopefully that helps. I simply installed the 750ti drivers. Wouldn't that automatically get rid of the 1660 drivers ?
  5. This is a multi-layered query. So bear with me. A few days back my PC shut down unexpectedly without any warning while playing wolfenstein 2 on ultra. I rebooted it and sparks flew out of my Zotac GTX 1660 (i've attached a pic below). I immediately shut it down and removed the gpu after switching off the PSU main. There was a light burning smell coming from it and a small component (i dont know which) seemed to be damaged. There seemed to be no burn damage to other components. What could've likely caused this issue ? How do i ensure it doesn't happen again ? In the future if my PC shuts off like this unexpectedly what is the right procedure to follow to ensure it's safety ? Right now am trying to initiate an RMA with zotac. After this mishap i put in my old gpu (a zotac 750 ti) into the same mobo slot which held the 1660. The PC booted up and i installed the drivers for the 750ti without uninstalling the 1660 drivers (i hope that's not an issue). Everything seemed fine until i started running some games on it. The 750ti which could previously get easily 70-80 fps in dota 2 was struggling to maintain an even 60 and at times the fps went down to 20. The same was the case with other games like counter strike and rainbow six siege. My gpu usage went up to 100% (3D section especially) and still struggled to maintain a decent 60 fps. Is this because of the mobo slot ? The 1660 was connected with an eight pin from the PSU and thee 750ti is only connected to the mobo with no direct power from the PSU. What do i do here ? How do i get back the performance ? I've had the psu for 3.5 years. I am getting a new 650 W one. Specs Cooler Master B500 Ver.2 (psu) Zotac GTX 750 ti (current) Zotac GTX 1660 (damaged) Ryzen 5 1600 (cpu) Asus B350 plus (mobo) 2x8 Adata XPG Spectrix D40 500 gb SSD 2 TB HDD
  6. Hey guys, Yesterday after installing the latest update from windows my audio had gone out (cross symbol next to speaker icon) . I tried troubleshooting but the PC didn't detect speakers connected to it and instead tried to find devices connected via HDMI (mine are connected via default 3.5 mm jack). Screenshots are provided below for clarity. Later i tried uninstalling existing audio drivers and restarting the PC to let windows install default drivers but that didn't fix the issue. I use windows 10 pro edition 64 bit , 8 GB RAM , AMD ryzen 5 1600 processor. I used Dolby Digital Plus audio prior to the windows update . Does anyone know how to fix this issue ?
