  1. So recently my computer refused to boot, went straight to a bsod - either error 0xc0001 or Driver PNP Watchdog or Boot Configuration Data is Missing. I had received a similar issue about 6 months ago, (although the Driver PNP Watchdog error is new), and I tried the same solution, which is (in the recovery partition command prompt): bcdedit /export c:\bcdbackup attrib c:\boot\bcd -h -r -s ren c:\boot\bcd bcd.old bootrec /rebuild bcd That didn't fully fix it this time, on reboot it went back to the windows 10 self-repair thing it does after 3 failed boots in a row, and after running through the self-repair three times (I ended up forcing it from the install media the next two times) it booted into windows. My guess is that the AMD Display drivers had something to do with the initial bsod boots, because afterwards, the DisplayPort output was fucked. It would show the monitor as existing if you plugged it in but force 640x640 res and send no signal over DP, but HDMI and DVI were fine. I did a DDO uninstall and reinstalled AMD Crimson Drivers which fixed it. Now however, one of my drives is missing. Nothing is actually wrong with the drive, it shows up in CristalDiskInfo as Good, with full disk specs and info. But nothing in windows explorer OR diskmgmt.msc.... Update: having the drive connected at all now causes Boot Configuration Data is Missing/Corrupted on most boots, causing the PC to fail to boot into windows until I do the above fix. read the SMART data on another pc and its fine. Seems like its time to buy a new drive and just reformat the one causing the BSODs. Its weird that this dirve is causing issues when the whole thing is just video files. Theres no programs installed there or anything.

    $100-ish DAC/AMP Combo

I'm not too fussy that it sounds amazing. i was under the impression that buying DAC/Amps is a largely fruitless endevour to improve sound if your budget is small. I'm using onboard sound and a LG G6 w/ quad DAC atm to drive everything. I mainly just want a way to drive my headphones off a separate input, because at the moment I'm constantly switching the back 3.5mm out between my speakers and my phones because the front jack is broken. And a way to make my laptop not sound terrible as well, so I think i might just go with one of the more portable FiiO DAC/amps.
  3. I'm looking to buy a small, cheap DAC/AMP Combo. At the moment, it will only drive a pair of Sony MDR-7506s, but I'm looking to buy another pair of phones at around $250 (Either one of the open backed massdrop $200-ish options (HD 6xx, HE4xx or K7xx) or some DT 770 Pros. I'm just tossing up the open vs closed back debate. Feel free to offer your opinion on which of the four is a better choice below as well.). The most obvious choice would be the Schiit Fulla 2, but as an Australian there's only one place selling one and its $200AUD, which is nearly as much as any of the headphones I previously mentioned. So not many options... Here's what I've found available online: FX Audio DAC-X6 $93 Dilvpoetry DAC-X6 $81 FiiO E10k $105 I also found a original Fulla for $150, $50 less then the same site wants for the Fulla 2. I was wondering what makes the first generation Fulla lesser compared to the Fulla 2. So, anyone know if these DAC/Amp combos are any good?
