  1. I was using this little box that converts multiple audio cords into one usb and does 7.1 surround sound. I tried booting up a game and suddenly all the speakers were working fine. It just doesn't seem to like YouTube very much
  2. I have a newly built pc with a 7.1 Surround Sound Box for audio. I have 3 amps plugged into it (Front, Side and Rear). I configured the sound in playback device settings, and surround sound worked fine during that. But when I try to use surround sound to watch YouTube, etc., only the speakers connected to the front speakers port does anything. Can’t seem to make it use the other speakers as well. Any ideas?
  3. This has also created other problems such as when I turn the computer on I have to unplug the keyboard and mouse or else it will just be a blank screen. Also, there is an led light strip that now makes a whining noise at the usb hub when plugged in.
  4. So I’ve been using this usb hub with my computer for a while. I decided to switch the power supply strip to a budget smart strip. Well this caused lots of errors about a power supply surge to the usb port and I was forced and how it couldn’t supply rhe necessary amount of power. Of course I switched back to the original power strip but now I’m still having issues. I can only plug a few things into the usb hub before it starts malfunctioning and certain peripherals don’t even power on. I tried buying a new usb hub but it has the same problems. I’m assuming this is now a problem with the usb port (on the motherboard) but how can I fix it?
  5. Thanks, I kind of just threw $2000 out there as a max although I'm building this computer for my dad so I'd like to spend as little as possible. I will be installing the pc into a virtual pinball cabinet so no need for a case.
  6. Budget (including currency): $2000 Country: United Stated Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Running Virtual Pinball at 4k 120. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I will be installing the computer into an existing pinball cabinet so there Is no need for a case or fanes at the moment. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Awesome390/saved/h4jxgs
  7. Budget (including currency): 1500 I guess Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Running Virtual Pinball at 4k 120hz, possibly with ray tracing. Other details https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Awesome390/saved/h4jxgs I already asked about this build once but then someone told me it wouldn’t do 4k at 120hz and that I was ‘Budgeting poorly’. Is there any thing that I should switch up here. I’m not trying to change the computer around entirely, just wondering if there are any parts I should change. I would prefer to keep the 3070ti as I’ve heard that’s what you need to play Virtual Pinball on Max settings.
  8. Thank you so freaking much! I had been trying to do that for over 2 hours!
  9. In windows 10, I just right clicked and clicked format
  10. Basically what the title says. I’m trying to find a free way or software to help me recover data from a formatted hard drive. I’ve tried plenty of stuff but it is just extremely expensive for a one time use. Thanks in advance!
  11. The reason I have to stick with the chosen monitor is because it fits the dimensions of the pinball cabinet.
  12. I am definitely changing the CPU, probably to a Core i5-12600KF, after that, I'm not sure which motherboard to go with, but ill look into it.
  13. Upon further inspection I think this might be a better motherboard for my setup? https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-ROG-Strix-Gaming-Motherboard/dp/B086QSH67R?dchild=1&keywords=ASUS+ROG+Strix+Z490-E+Gaming&qid=1611913618&sr=8-1&linkCode=sl1&tag=bullseyerevie-20&linkId=e050598eda5bbcf77ef5f10c90129b3d&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl Trying to keep within the asus theme somewhat, since it seems like parts from the same company usually have better compatibility. There are some MSI motherboards that are cheaper though so maybe that would be a better route.
  14. Budget (including currency): $1600-1700 Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Virtual Pinball Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Emulating pinball games at 4k, as close to 144hz as possible, while using raytracing. Also will be used to run two smaller monitors in the proccess. I just posted this like an hour ago but messed up my list so here is the actual list on pc part picker: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gCBPhk Some people on the last post said there were old components, such as the cpu. Is that going to be a problem in the long run? Lastly, the motherboard is only $100 on amazon, not sure why its listed as $295? Thanks in advance for the help!
