  1. I always jumped from "gaming" headset to "gaming" headset, always being in some ways disappointed with them, previously I had some open back Sennheiser headset which sounded decent but I didnt like that I could hear everything happening around me instead of focusing on the game (when I purchased them, I didnt realize they were open back) and I am a fan of wireless headsets (especially now with two young kittens that LOVE to chew on cables [They already managed to rip out and destroy my fiber network cable between the wall and the router]) Currently Im using a Logitech G935 wireless headset which is decent audio wise, but the plastic is really creaky, to the point that whenever I move my jaw, the plastic creaks. It also recently started having connector issues with the charger (yes I tried multiple Micro-USBs) and that one side of the headset sometimes doesnt turn on, so after ~2 years of usage, I think its time for a newer, better Headset. The issue Is: I dont particularly know what to look for. I 100% need a wireless headset that I can charge during the knight when Im able to lock the kittens out of the room and I would really like something with clear audio and preferably 7.1 surround sound (Although I have to admit, that I dont know if 7.1 surround is really "the best" for "gaming" headsets). I dont talk much, so good Microphone quality is not a requirement (actually, it doesnt need a Mic at all for me, if it doesnt Ill just get a cheapo USB mic) Price also isnt tooo much of an issue although I would like to keep it below 500USD. What headsets would/could you recommend, LTT Community?
  2. Budget (including currency): ~600$, "worst case" a bit more Country: Switzerland Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: CoD, Minecraft, modern titles/new releases Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Already have a RTX 2080 and a 750W PSU what CPU and MoBo would pair nicely with a RTX 2080? Looking to build a new PC for my sister and already have my "old" 2080 and a 750W PSU for the build, RAM and storage I can get from a local store, but Im not too sure what CPU would pair best with a 2080 and 750W PSU. Thx in advance!
  3. I mean, my sister plays more than Minecraft (at least she would like to, if her PC could handle it) and I dont use my RTX2080 anymore as I upgraded to a 3080. I dont remember the specs of the PSU apart from it being 750W, and I already gave and installed both in her current rig, but not it keeps crashing every now and again, which I suspect is due to overheating issues, since the 2080 runs at around 70-80°C and her two tiny cheapo-fans probably cant cool the machine enough, so I decided to just build her a new rig with good performance for most modern AAA titles.
  4. Budget (including currency): ~1000USD, preferably less Country: Switzerland/Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: modern titles such as CoD Warzone etc. Other details: I already have a RTX2080 and a 750W PSU, as well as storage and am mainly looking for a fitting MoBo and CPU, RAM is optional as Im fairly sure I can get some decent RAM in a store nearby. Maybe it would be nice if the MoBo had a slot for an NVME SSD. A fitting Air Cooler would also be appreciated. And Id prefer the CPU to be from team red (AMD). The CPU doesnt have to be "top of the line" but Id appreciate it if the MoBo left room for upgrades in the future. The background is: My sister purchased a prebuilt PC without talking to me first and got a (IMO) very low quality build for her 800€ spent. Im talking 1 stick of 8Gb RAM, a GTX670, a Ryzen 3 1200 and an ASUS EX-a320M-Gaming MoBo, as well as the cheapest fans I have ever seen. So I wanna be a good brother and give her my "old" PSU and GPU as well as a basically entirely new PC that can handle Minecraft at 1080p with more than 30FPS max. Thanks in advance
  5. Budget (including currency): 500? Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: CoD:Warzone, Minecraft, etc. Other details: MoBo: ASUS EX-a320M-Gaming, 750Watt PSU Hey there, I have a fairly simple question. What would be the best CPU for the EX-a329M-gaming motherboard? Do all AM4 socket CPUs work with it? My sister purchased a prebuilt PC (without talking to me first) and is currently severly bottlenecked by her CPU, rocking a Ryzen 3 1200, with an RTX 2080 (which I gave her from my personal rig). So obviously, shes interested in upgrading her CPU. But not wanting to replace the whole MoBo, Id like to just replace the CPU (and possibly/plausibly the cooler). Any recommendations that would pair well with a 2080?
  6. So I currently have a 3 slot thick RTX 2080 from EVGA and I want to upgrade by adding in a 2080Ti and putting em in NV Link. The Issue is I only have 2 slots for the new GPU... So my question is: should I put an aircooled 2080Ti right above the 2080 blowing hot air onto it or should I sacrifice overall airflow and add in a water cooled 2080Ti?
  7. I mean I know a GTX 670 will not do anything compared to the RTX 2080 I have installed, but Im simply curious how it will perform in a system like this...
  8. I recently found my old GTX 670 laying around and theoretically it should still work. But since I dont know a lot about PC's I am not too sure if it is okay to install it in my current system without damaging anything. I mean I wouldnt see as to why it would cause damage but just in case I decided to ask before wrecking my new PC for shits and giggles
  9. Hey there, My girlfriend is looking for a new Tablet/Laptop (even though she says she doesnt want a Laptop) now I know more about general PC's than I know about the current Laptop/Tablet market, so I wanted to ask here what you guys currently recommend. She would like: Detatchable screen with touch (obviously) and a pen if possible fairly bright display (since she likes to use it outside) and long power duration (~10hrs of use after charge) Now the specs themselves arent as important as all she uses it for is mainly writing stories and browsing the web a little bit, maybe some video streaming and schoolwork. Her current system has an entirety of 2GB of RAM of which Kaspersky alone (already scolded her for it, dont worry) takes up 50-60% soo yea. its a windows surface-3... Would love any recommendations (but please nothing tooo expensive thanks to student life)
  10. Allright, I tried that but to no avail... I had a chat with the NVIDIA support and they think its a faulty card and I have to send it back... luckily I still have my old PC here and have the GTX970 plugged into this PC right now and its working at least... thanks for all the tipps. First build first faulty part FeelsGoodMan ?
  11. So, I dont think its a monitor issue as I have used this same config with my previous build, unless somehow that monitor is for some reason not compatible with the 2080, I did try running DDU like suggested and reinstalled the new Drivers but to no avail, Games still have these light flashes, tend to crash and the PC in general still tends to lock up at seemingly random intervals until restarted. And what do you mean about reseating the card? Do you mean switching the slot on the Motherboard or did you do a typo and meant resetting? Oh and it was a fresh Windows install
  12. So I have recently completed my first ever build (God I was shitscared pressing that power button for the first time, but it sprung to life without an issue) I have this PC since roughly a week now and its working quite well... APART from it completely locking up from time to time and getting these weird multicolored-light flashes in games. I have pretty much ruled out that temperature could be a problem, it happens with or without the side panel on and the CPU under its cooling is running at max at 50°C. I have also assumed that its some sort of driver issue but my GPU drivers are apparently up to date... any other Ideas why this could be happening? I had that issue in the past when I first upgraded from my old GTX680 to a GTX970 but that was resolved with a simple Driver update. 13. tbh, I was never concerned about plugging something in the wrong way until I watched this: Since I dont have a damn clue wth has happened there, Im afraid of messing up in the same fashion
  14. Those ARE some nice specs I have to admit, but I am considering upgrading to 4k, and for some reason I love the Idea of a water cooled CPU... I dont know why.. just feels more fancy (not custom tubing, just a premade kit) Also would this be compatible with a RTX 2080? Cuz from all I heard that is a pretty beast GPU... but like stated Im not too sure about anything
  15. Hard to tell what games I play, mostly across the whole spectrum of genres (apart from fighters) Although I do like my fair share of from what I can see quite RAM heavy games like Escape from Tarkov or other less optimized games. Budged wouldnt really be an issue but saving money wherever you can is always appreciated, so if you say I can roughly get a similar gaming performance with an i7 as I would with an i9, Id definately go and get an i7... Id say my minimum I'd like would be 32GB RAM and maybe a 1TB SSD and an HDD for mass storage, if those are even used nowadays?
