  1. It works on my PC fine, this isn't a complex system so it should work, which it usually does. It's not about power saving and that doesn't help fix the issue since he wants to use sleep mode, your comment is pointless.
  2. Hello everyone, I'm having some trouble with my brothers PC that I built recently, its been working perfectly until around 3 weeks ago, where he told me that after waking up from sleep, the screen would freeze on the lock/log in screen, no mouse movement/no typing. The only way to get it to respond again is to turn off the computer and turn off the PSU for about 5 sceonds then start it up again and everything was fine. Once this happened, another forum suggested turning off fast startup and changing some power settings like not allowing the pc to turn off devices to save power, this seemed to solve the issue up until last night where the same thing happened again. I have noticed that if I try to turn off the computer by holding the power button, it restarts on its own but then no image is displayed on the monitor, which is why I need to turn off the PSU. I'm not sure if the PC fully posts when it does this as the fans never settle. I'm not sure what to do to fix this issue as it happens randomly and has occured only two maybe three times, any suggestions you have would be appreciated. Specifications: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Intel I7 10700K Gigabyte RTX 3070 1TB WB SN550 nVME SSD, 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD, 2TB WD Green HDD, 4TB Seagate HDD Z490 Asrock Phantom Gaming 4 motherboard Corsair RM750 PSU BIOS: v1.50 Usually running MalwareBytes, MSI afterburner (GPU fan curve), Razer central, Wallpaper engine, NZXT CAM, FiiO control panel, Discord, Phantom gaming tuning (case fan curves), NVIDIA control panel
  3. UPDATE: Found a better deal than this for a lower price, thanks for all the input !
  4. So, due to parts availability, I've hit rock bottom and started looking for prebuilts on facebook market place, trying to get a good deal on lightly used, well specced systems. I came across this two days ago, which seems to be a decent deal, but I wanted some outside opinions first. The guy has owned the system for 2 months, it was built by a local PC shop, he hasn't used it in the last 2 weeks and boxed it up. He wants to sell it as he's not using it as much as he thought he would. He has the receipt for the pc and all the boxes for the parts. From what I can gather, the specs of the machine are: Asrock B450M AC AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Gigabyte RTX 3070 ThermalTake 16GB (8GB x 2) 3600MHz RAM 1TB SSD (NVMe) 650W Cooler Master PSU Arctic freezer 34 CPU cooler The case is the Be Quiet! 500DX. He wants £1,500 for the system, he is adamant that he won't take any lower than that. But, I want to ask for lower, what price should I try to get him down to? I was thinking £1,400 as he's pretty set on his price. Any advice or help would be appreciated.
  5. I've seen online that the P12s have a buzzing resonance at certain RPM ranges, which gets really loud, have you experienced/noticed that? I'm looking at possibly getting them but not sure if I should because of that, since I really want quiet operation.
  6. Update for anyone checking out this post late: Tried it and actually loving it tbh so I kept it, bit awkward shape at first but got used to it in a day or so, it felt a little heavy (thats without any extra weights) but got used to that as well. Just hoping mine doesn't develop any of the problems discussed here.
  7. Well, I went ahead and bought it before these replies and I was just admiring the smooth scroll lol I guess I'll keep an eye out for a razer viper or something on black friday then return this one, I could even wait until christmas since the return policy has been extended until 31 Jan 2021.
  8. I think you're right tbh, at this price and hopefully the warranty being good, I should be fine and not need to worry
  9. I think I'll go for it, the review site seems legit, I guess I'll tests the speeds when I get it to make sure it lives up to them
  10. Ngl, this does make me want to go for another mouse haha I'm open to suggestions and can wait for black friday/xmas tbh.
  11. Well, thats awkward, I play quite a few fps games lol Whys it not good for fps? Thanks for the heads up and advice, appreciated !
  12. @PyroTheWise@TheDailyProcrastinator Also, just found this review from 2018 ( https://www.relaxedtech.com/reviews/crucial/mx500/1 ) about the MX500 which actually mentions DRAM is on all the size variants, one bit mentions the DRAM chip is there.
  13. Just called and went on online chat with Crucial, specifically asked if the SATA MX500 SSD had the DRAM chip, online chat said it had DRAM cache and seemed sure of himself, while the person on the phone had no clue, he mentioned momentum caching, so not sure who to trust now.
  14. It's listed at £34.99 right now on Amazon, seems like its probably the lowest price its been on there, seems like a good deal or is there another mouse I should consider, thoughts? I have read the mouse wheel can slip or has some problems, do I need to worry?
  15. Already have an M.2 NVME, my mobo has only one M.2 slot otherwise I would get another one lol Thats weird, not sure whether I should get it now then, other pages say it has DRAM cache too
