    Today still drops to 1.6ghz nothing helps i really don't know what to do anymore

    I reset my cmos yesterday and i did get to that screen star win normally and now when i tested it in games it is better it does stay at max freq for most of the time but still rarely it does drop to half speed 1.6ghz

    Guys i just downgraded to win 7 and still the same problem i really need help i can't use my pc

    It is on high performance I tried changing stuff but nothing worked so i reset them to default and still nothing works

    It is set to high performance and i did go into the bios and reset all the settings to default

    I don't even know how to do that and i don't think that would help my problem do u think downgrading to win 8.1 help?

    it is set that way Yes tried that in bios still didn't work goes back down to 16x

    yea i am starting to think that it might be a windows incompatability with my 2nd gen cpu i7 2600 because it doesn't even have drivers for it yes
