Is the upgrade worth the value L
Strivejaylen replied to Strivejaylen's topic in New Builds and Planning
Ohh it is a x470 board -
I have a ryzen 2700x paired with a 1080 GTX on a 470 board Should have enough for a co.ponent upgrade for a cpu or gpu I game on a 1440p 144hz predator gsync monitor and dont care much about raytracing and more of smoothness along with streaming on the same computer I do t think the gain from a 2080 or 2080 ti is worth the cost and kinda iffy if the power from the ryzen 3700x or 3900x Dont need the new 570 boards

Thank you

Yep 4k60 one, plan on streaming through it once I get a second monitor a TV is just to big in my corner, but got everything set up for it

What you all think, first build Gigabyte, Thermaltake with Ryzen 2700x and Gtx 1080 Going to replace the 24 pin wires, and GPU's power chord

What would you all recommend for a rgb Aio 360mm to sync with an aorus rgb fusion thinking of Cooler Master, Thermaltake, or Cougar Need like one I can sync to the motherboard

I am going to be building a desktop after my laptop is slowing down, going wumith a Am4 build and wanting a Ryzen 7 3700x but that is a few months out So my question should I spend the 87 dollars extra to get a ryzen 3 1200 since it is still 1 ghz more powerful than my laptop as I wait for the new cards.to come out, I can wait but I dont mind getting it then build a cheap computer for my nephew as a birthday gift with the ryzen 3

I7 vs ryzen overclock range difference
Strivejaylen posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
How come intel has a larger gap between base and suggested max overclock around 1 to 2ghz when amd ryzen has like half a ghz between base and overclock Is AMD more sure there cards can run easier on heavier loads so they set the base higher compared to max overclock Or intel thinks that the chips produce are easier to malfunction so they set base way below a reasonable loads they should easily handle
