  1. Hi everyone, I am a first time PC builder. I have no prior knowledge of anything PC related but I somehow managed to build a PC on my own for gaming and video editing. This PC features a Samsung 970 pro M.2 and 2 8TB seagate hard drives. The M.2 I am using for windows only right now, but plan to use it for programs also. The two 8TB drives are for storage. I want to run them in Raid 1 but I have no idea what to do. I am scared of messing something up. All of the drives are completely empty with the exception of windows on the SSD. When I go to the disk management utility. I see 3 drives, the SSD, one of the 8TB drives with a "system reserve" on it, and the other 8TB drive that is offline. The plan like I mentioned is to run the SSD as my boot drive with windows and programs (games, editing software, etc.) and then use the two 8TB in Raid 1 for storage (documents, video footage, etc). I am confused as to how to set up the Raid 1 combination with the two 8 TB hard drives. I have read that you do it in disk management by mirroring the disks but I also saw something in the ASUS motherboard BIOS of setting up Raid. I just don't want to click on anything and ruin any of the drives. If anyone can please help me with this set up, I would be so appreciative. I am eager to learn how to do this! Thanks!
  2. Hi everyone, Long time reader of the forum, first time posting. I am looking for advice on a PC build that I am currently planning. I have purchased a few components already but need help deciding on other components and advice on the overall quality of the build. I want this to be a great experience for my first build. This is an RGB build. I want to use this PC for gaming/streaming and some VR experiences. Also to edit DSLR and drone footage and some graphic design. Any and all advice and critiques welcomed! Not 100% sure what that means or how it works. Any thoughts? Looking forward to them! Mitch
