Hey guys, first post here, so sorry for any formatting mistakes.
My daily driver is a MacBook Pro 13" 2017... so dual core 3.1ghz i5 and integrated graphics.
Aside from school work, its main use is heavy Lightroom processing, (which its fine for) and for Premier Pro video editing, which, unsurprisingly is on the slow side.
I would also really like to get into PC gaming, (though im perfectly happy at 720p for budget reasons.)
With that in mind, as well as a fairly tight student budget of around $550 AUD, which makes it about $450 USD assuming prices are more or less equivalent after exchange rates here in Australia.
The current build I have been looking at is a Ryzen 3 2200g, which still a decent improvement in terms of GPU performance compared to the intel integrated, and the CPU is definitely worlds ahead of the speed of my MacBook. 16GB of memory and a discrete GPU are upgrades I will probably have to save for later due to budget constrains unfortunately.

Any ideas for a better configuration in terms of performance for the price? I could look at a cheaper cpu in order to get a proper GPU, but im not sure that the sacrifice in render speeds would make the trade worth it.
Any feedback or advice very much appreciated, as this is my first attempt at building a PC.
Thanks!
