  1. Got to the bottom of it, the font was activated in Adobe Creative Cloud. I deactivated in CC and it disappeared from the fonts in Windows. Thanks for your help. Cookie
  2. We do have than in Win 10 for fonts installed by the user. I'll keep looking around but struggling to find someone who has experienced the same issue!
  3. The font doesn't appear in the control panel or C:\Windows\Fonts Any other ideas?
  4. Hi everyone, I'm having trouble removing a font from Windows so I'm going to try to explain the process I've been through as clearly as possible! So you can see here that I have Poppins installed on my laptop. It isn't the full version of the font so I want to remove it and then install the full version. You can see below there are seven versions of the font, but I don't have the option to uninstall them and there is no install location listed: You can see the font is not listed in the Windows fonts folder either. I've searched everywhere on the PC, I've used the Windows Explorer search function to search for Poppins on my whole C drive and it brings back no results. You'll see I have a couple of company folders synced as well but I've also searched them for the font and it's not there. Is there anywhere else I should look or is there another way for me to remove the font? Any help greatly appreciated! Cookie
  5. @Chris Pratt @VIVO-US @Boomwebsearch Thanks guys, interesting points. I'm going to wait to see if Sony mention the Blu Ray support in the build up to launch and make a decision then. It probably won't be a major shouting point for them but will be interesting to see if they mention it...
  6. Hi all, I've been aiming to start making full use of my 4K HDR TV's capabilities, which means investing in 4K HDR Blu Rays rather than streaming films and TV series in 4K HDR. Over recent months I've been planning to pre-order the PS5 disc edition and use it as my Blu Ray player as well as games console (kill two bird with one stone eh?). Do you guys think this is a viable solution for my want of making the most of my TV or do you think I should invest in a standalone 4K Blu Ray player? (Would the *estimated £100 saving between the digital and disc edition PS5 be enough to purchase a worthwhile Blu Ray player?) Any input would be greatly appreciated, Cookie
  7. Thanks for getting back to me, I'll try both approaches. With the first approach, how long do you leave it on 100kb/s for before ramping it up?
  8. Hi guys, I'm currently in the process of downloading Modern Warfare on the Blizzard launcher but it is downloading at a not-so-fast pace of 1.5-3mb/s sometimes jumping down to 250-500kb/s. I have tried downloading over different connections, firstly using a powerline adaptor in my room, which according to the TPplc program, is receiving data from the host powerline adaptor at around 200mb/s. I then went downstairs and plugged my laptop into the router directly and the download speed is still hanging around 1.5-3mb/s sometimes jumping down to 250-500kb/s again. I have also tried downloading over wifi on the 5GHZ band but still the same results. Does anyone know why this may be happening? I keep pausing the download to run a speed test to see the internet speeds my laptop is getting and it ranges from 30MB/s to 200MB/s depending whether I'm on wifi or ethernet. I have also made sure I haven't limited the download bandwidth in the Blizzard launcher. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Jake Specs: Windows 10 64bit, downloading onto a 7200rpm 1tb hard drive, let me know if you need any other specs. EDIT: Do you think it could be because of bandwidth restrictions in my area due to COVID-19?
  9. I'm in the UK but already opened up the device and HP are aware.
  10. Yeah I sort of realised that a stress test isn't the best example. A better way to look at it is that it normally sits at around 60-70 degrees C whilst idle or watching videos and the fans are almost always spinning. When I open a program, whether it be a game of just outlook, the temperature will ramp up to 90+ degrees for a couple of minutes straight before levelling out again. I'll look into reapplying thermal paste and see how it performs. Thanks
  11. I've continuously kept an eye on any dust build up so I've stayed on top of that. Luckily, I had the screen repaired a couple of weeks ago so they extended my warranty so I'll get in contact with them and see what they say. Thanks
  12. Hello internet people, I've had my laptop for about 10 months now and seems to thermal throttling pretty much instantly when the CPU comes under load. The laptop in question is the HP Omen 15-dc1005na with the following specs: CPU: Intel Core i7 8750H @ 2.2ghz base, 6 core 12 thread. GPU: RTX 2060 RAM: 16GB Display: 1080p 144hz. The fans ramp up as soon as I start the laptop up and even ramp up a fair way when watching videos on Youtube but the big problem is gaming. Yesterday I downloaded Star Citizen because it is a free week and fancied seeing how my laptop would handle it. It could not run it in 1080p and didn't get above 30fps at 720p with it averaging 25-28fps. It was apparent that the CPU was thermal throttling instantly and it even reached 100 degrees celcius at one point. I just ran aida64 and the results are attached. As you can see it thermal throttles instantly. I know that laptops temps aren't great and they thermal throttle often but is there something wrong here? If anyone has any suggestions on further tests to run or whether I need to contact HP, I would greatly appreciate any feedback. If anyone also knows if my laptop struggling with Star Citizen so much is normal or not, I would also appreciate you letting me know. Many thanks, Cookie
  13. Hello Internet, I am currently having issues with my Realtek HD Audio Manager install on my Windows 10 (64 bit) Laptop. I have reinstalled the driver multiple times but there is no sign of the Audio Manager program for me to adjust bass/treble etc. I have also checked that the driver has been successfully installed in the sounds menu and device manager. Has the program been discontinued? Is there somewhere I can download the program or any other audio manager program? Cheers
  14. Hey Guys, I'm sure this question has been asked already, but with Google's Stadia announcement, does this potentially bring VR compatibility to mobile devices with chrome? I feel this could be possible, especially because of how easy it is to plug a pair of headphones into your phone these days, to pair with a sperate slide-in headset for your phone. Any previous thread or thoughts? Cookie
  15. I see, I guess I just had completely the wrong end of the stick. I knew I didn't trust these apps but they had surprisingly high ratings on Play Store. Cheers for clearing it up
