Its not that odd the XMP settings are optimized for Intel and is advertised as such. The kit will have a hard time being stable at advertised speeds on a Ryzen platform. The RAM is not bad just not intended for this system. I'm sure that you ran the memtest while the XMP was off, if you ran it while XMP is on you will see errors.(Also do more than a 7 minute pass you play games longer than that) I'm pretty sure this is not a windows issue. Logic weasel is saying to manually set the clock setting for the ram in the bios, by going less than 3200mhz, but higher than 2133, Ryzen really does need faster ram for the infinity fabric though . Tuning your ram can take some time, I spent 27 hours trying to tune intel ram on my threadripper and even then I wasn't successful. In my opinion you have 3 options, run the ram stock at 2133, get a ram kit that is suited for Ryzen, or try to tune your RAM kit(Which can be very stressful if you dont know what to do) The QVL for ram is below, your kit is on it, but information is missing and makes me believe they couldn't get it working. I had to re-seat a Ryzen Cpu like 5 times before it actually posted, the mobo was a refurb but non the less you might have to bite the bullet and reseat.

What LogicWeasel said the RAM should still run at base DDR4 frequency and it should be fine you really have to test this, because it can still be something else, did you do the testing I mentioned? If you think it is the ram you can always return it, instead of trying to sell it.

Just to let you know , that RAM kit is not AMD optimized. Its not on your MotherBoards QVL list and Corsairs Website also states this Getting it to work may be more of a headache than it is worth. What is your specific ram kit for Example(F4-3200C16D-16GTZR) is specific, you can get this from the product page you purchased it from. None the less Turn off xmp and let the ram run at default speeds, if the games still crash I would rule out the XMP settings. Pull out one stick, test the games. No crash, then good. Test the other stick if no crash then good. it wouldnt be ram at this point but if both sticks Crash then, try a different dimm slots the result should be consistent If it crashes every single time on every contingency re-seat your CPU.

socket M.2A is PCIE and SATA Socket M.2B is Just PCIE. If a M.2 Sata is used in M.2A, SATA ports 0 and 1 cannot be populated. That SSD will never work in the bottom port.

Going on the assumption that you purchased the parts that were suggested to you on this forum, this is my conclusion Looks like this is the issue; Going by the manual for the Aorus b450f Elite the last M.2 socket supports up to pcie x2 The "Kingston " Hard drive which I believe is the Kingston A2000 NVMe PCIe SSD that was suggested to you in a previous post for building a PC. Needs 4 lanes to operate. Which your bottom port is only 2 lanes. Make sure the SSD is NVMe and not SATA the bottom port looks like NVMe only going by the motherboard manual

That sounds like an error code, but I cant be 100% without knowing the full details of the computer. I would reference the motherboard manual to see if has a reference to that display.

Sorry this happened man this always sucks, anyways I linked the Original Forum post for this below with the instructions , these will help you troubleshoot the PSU I also linked a video demonstrating the process, But if you feel uncomfortable messing with electricity they do sell power supply jumpers. Unplug your power cord and/or flip the switch on the back of the PSU in the position denoted with OFF or 0 Unplug every connector coming from your PSU (this is very important) Using a bent paperclip, short out the green wire on the 24 pin header with any of the black wires If you have a PSU that shuts down its fan under low load, or a PSU that is fanless, connect something small like a hard drive to it. Plug in your power cord and/or flip the switch on the back of the PSU in the position denoted with ON or I If the PSU does NOT power on (the fan/hard drive you connected should start spinning) after following these steps, your PSU is in all likelyhood defective. Request an RMA. If the PSU DOES power on, then the problem is most likely your motherboard.

What SSD is it(Brand/Model)? Do you have any other hard drives installed?

hes talking about setting up your boot order, make sure your boot order under boot options is correct. if cant find your storage device make sure you're in UEFI.

That is really interesting. So with that said I watched a few and they were pushing up towards 8.5 Gbs. Were you looking at your overall mem usage or just for that application. I would run a mem test.

so when you plugged that jumper into the Power supply 24 pin cable did the power supply turn on(fan spin up or lights)?

The only flaw I see in your system is the 8gb of RAM, Your OS is using 2gbs of RAM (64 bit) or 1 gb of RAM (32 bit) So if the game requires 8 gb then it is overflowing to your storage. Out of all the ones you watched, Did any of them have 8gb of ram?

You probably plugged it into M2_1 which is NVME And then got the second port right which was SATA Your drive is a SATA M.2 Storage Device M.2 is just a connector. I would believe your board is fine.

You said it was running good a while ago, you didnt by any chance change the resolution or settings did you?

if you only have 8gb of ram I would upgrade the ram. 16 GB is starting to be the standard now. This of course is my opinion, but that is what I would do.

It looks like you have an HP Envy HP ENVY 700-060ea, Looking at the mobo picture online and case room it look like you can fit a 13 inch card in there that is dual slot. The problem is that it has a internal psu of 460 watts, you either have to keep that in mind while buying a GPU or purchase a better Powersupply(one that fits). a 1060 seems to be a popular upgrade for the HP ENVY 700-060ea.

looking at this, it shows you have an 8gb x4 kit selected, it is probably assuming you're trying to setup quad channel win the B450 tomahawk only supports Dual Channel. And to be fair it is also saying that "Ballistix Sport DDR4 2400 C16 8x4GB" is a 8 stick kit, on that website. In reality it is a 8gb x 4 kit. Everyone who is using it is saying they are using 8 of 8 slots.

I would try isolating parts from each other. Try putting that 1070 in a completely different computer.(Maybe a friends or something) and see if it does the same thing
