  1. Modern builds only please. Also please explain better when you do reply. Why the random percent figures.
  2. Can you please explain this better. Also is the way you do it quiet even when under load?
  3. Can you explain why 100% speed is an issue at that temp? I don't know enough about speeds and temps. WHICH fan controller do you use exactly. Link please.
  4. What is a T sensor. How many fans do you have in your case?
  5. I last built a PC in 2012; the specs of which can be seen in my sig. I will be doing a new build. I want to know how modern new cases/mobos are controlling fans or are people using a fan controller? I see cases like the BeQuiet 700 Pro and NZXT 700i have their own auto fan controllers; BUT the NZXT's one was reviewed to be useless and I doubt any case fan controller boards that cases seem to come with nowadays, fare any better. I also notice mobos, even the £300+ ones do not have enough PWM fan controller headers to be able to control all the case fans a modern case has. So how are you all doing it? NO WATERCOOLING SETUPS please. ONLY air cooled.
  6. What.... Did you read the entire post? Tested with other fans too. Fan cable was not touching the speaker nor screen wires.
  7. I have a 40w desk fan. It has an analogue turn switch to turn on and change speed settings. Photo: I currently have two displays. An old Dell 1703FTP and a Samsung P2450h from 2010~. The Samsung flickers when I change speed in either direction and when turning on. The screen shows 'HDMI' after it recovers from the flicker on/off. It ALSO causes my speakers to make a kinda pop sound. There are 2 types of flicker that happen. One is juddering of the image on screen. The second is the display is lost with a flicker, then a second or so later comes back again with the screen saying 'HDMI', like as if it only just detected the input. I can also dictate which type will happen for the most part. If I turn the switch on the fan slowly then the second type of flicker occurs (loss of display for a second or so). The Dell display is unaffected by this. Why is the Dell not affected? Why is this happening to the Samsung screen? I tested it with 2 other fans. One has a digital control (a digital on/off switch with a bunch of other buttons for various modes and functions), and the other has the same type of analogue switch present on my fan. The digital fan causes no flickering at all AND no speaker pop sound. The other analogue fan causes the EXACT same issues only even more juddering and the speaker pop sound. Speakers are Logitech Z5500. Digital fan Other analogue fan EDIT: Tested on another socket in my room (same room) and the same issue occurs.
  8. I will be doing daily rendering of videos for YouTube. So I guess a 3900X is better for me? It will be 1080p-1440p footage from phones, compact camera and DSLR's with no effects or any of the fancy requires lots of experience and knowledge to do stuff. Think Casey Neistat vlogs. BTW awesome reply. Thanks. Probably one of the best replies I have had on this forum. You seem very knowledgeable. What do you do for work may I ask? Also why do you have 50TB of HDD's?!
  9. ... What a dumb thing to say. I very much doubt it will drop in price days after release. Never seen any hardware drop in price days after release. Usually takes 4-6 months for prices to drop. Not familiar with software such as games in terms of price drops. Hence why I am asking.
  10. It isn't going to drop in price 2 days after release....wtf
  11. The reflection issue is the main question....
  12. When do you think BL's 3 will drop in price? At £50 it's a bit too expensive right now. Thanks.
  13. Will do, but here in the UK its 5.07am on a Sunday and tomorrow is bank holiday so they won't be open till Tues. So asking here to see if anyone else is experiencing this or knows anything about this.
  14. I was going to order some drives from Western Digital's site using my dad's ID to get the 20% off. It allowed for seniors to get a discount. I got the code on the 5th of August this year (20 days ago). But strange things happened. The WD website has changed in look completely as well as url. UK WEBSITE NOT AMERICAN What it is now: https://shop.westerndigital.com/en-gb My youth discount now says ... well see for yourself. As you can see the code is still valid till the end of the month (another 6 days) but look at what it says: Why the sudden change with no notification nor explanation? No email with changes in terms and conditions or anything to explain this. Any ideas?
  15. Yeah I think I will just go for RED's and not risk the shucked drives thanks. That failure rate and time is insane. NAS drives do not fail that fast. Thanks for the update. Was pivotal in my decision making.
  16. It doesn't work for me on my S7. How many times do I have to tell you this. CUSTOM FOLDERS DOES NOT WORK WITHIN THE APP FOR SD CARD ACCESS. Pretty sure this hub is good enough. It is a new model and worth over £100. It's the best router provided by any ISP in the UK.
  17. I used the olive tree one on my S7. It doesn't work. Custom folder does not work. All that shows up is the internal memory no matter what I do. No idea how to shared folders mo bob. Router is a BT Hub new one. Haven't tried transferring data but I can bet it won't be as fast as using a USB cable.
  18. Custom location doesn't work. Tried it with 2 different FTP apps. Giving up and will just use cables from now on. Might be useful for internal memory though on the S10 as it's 512GB. No need to use the SD card. I question speed and reliability of the ftp thing.
  19. Would that stop screen tearing below the hz of the display? So if it's a 120hz display and it goes below 120fps - say 60fps then this freesync or gysnc will prevent teraing? Any other issues I should be aware of if my GPU cannot match the number of the hz? Also I just realised I can't use the stand you use ( VIVO STAND-V002) or a similar stand as the back of my desk has a support panel that runs flush with the rear and sits right upflush with the top of the desk. The Ikea link I sent you shows the latest version of the desk which has a cutout on that panel. Mine does not.
  20. Thanks but this only shows one storage location. I want it to behave EXACTLY as a cable does which means showing all storage. I have a SD Card in the phone too. How can I show everything?
