  1. I have an 6800k, but i recommend the 8700k. Its an overall better Cpu and x99 boards are a dead end regarding future upgrades. That price diference is crazy, where i live they are about the same price, the 8700k is 30$ more expensive.
  2. I agree, what cooling solution are you planning?
  3. It really depends on the games we are playing.
  4. Yes its the AOC AGON AG241QG 1440p 165Hz G-sync. I get your point, but keep in mind that those fps are on "competitive" (low) settings.
  5. I'm using a 6800k 4.2OC on a x99 board with 32Gb ram 3000Mhz I'm almost sure it can handle a 1080Ti. I have my Strix at 2075Mhz Core Clock / 5500Mhz Memory clock. I get 120/130 average fps on most games i play. The main reason im considering this upgrade its because its "free", my main concerns are the temperatures and fan noise on the Founder edition card, and the LED's
  6. There is no extra cost because i can buy the FE really cheap, i would basically trade the 1080 Strix for a 1080ti FE. The new Gen cards would be ideal, but they will be out of my budget. Since i have one extra AIO cooler laying around, i might consider getting a kraken G10/12 on the FE card, i guess that would solve noise and temps.
  7. Hello, I'm looking for a bit of upgrade advice. I currently own a GTX 1080 Strix and i'm considering an upgrade for a GTX1080ti Founders Edition. I can sell the Strix and buy a used Founders edition for the same money, but im not sure if its worth it. I've seen alot of reviews complaining about sound levels and temps on the FE card, My Strix even overclocked wont go higher than 60 ºC with no noise at all. I do like the aesthetics of the Strix but im willing to change for better performance. I recenlty bought a 1440p 144Hz monitor and i get around 100/130 fps on most games. I really wanted to reach those 144 fps. What would you do if you were me? Thanks
