  1. so i recently installed cod cold war and ive noticed my CPU being a bottle neck in alot of situations, but when i go check task manager, usage doesnt exceed 60%, so i did some research and i found that theres and in the game config called "Thread count for handling the job queue" and by default its at 2 and i have 8 threads and i found that someone with an i7 4790 went from 90 fps to 140 fps after changing that value but whenever i do, it just reverts back to 2 and when i change the file to read only, nothing happens. can someone please help? i avg at 90 fps with dips under 60 every now and then my specs: i7 4771 16gb 1600mhz the game is installed on a 500GB hdd 1050ti overclocked note: i tried setting the game at 44% render resolution and GPU usage is around 50% and the game has a built in cpu time and gpu time and the cpu time is higher than the gpu

  9. so recently i found an old laptop laying around and i got the charger for it and everyhing was fine until i fired up chrome and started web browsing for a bit, the laptop froze and it wasnt resoping to anything, i was forced to force shutdown it, then i turned it on again and it does the same thing when i open chrome or a game like minecraft, so i cleaned its fans and uninstalled stuff i dont need (everything to be exact) and the laptop was faster but it still kept freezing my hardware: cpu:intel celeron 2 core ram:1 GB gpu: geforce 8800m os: windows XP
  10. ok... but since i have a geforce 920m it goes to 100% in any game/gpu intensive app and thats when it throttles
