  1. The problem was figuring out which file I actually needed out of the compressed folder. Anyway, I discovered another string of events that might or might not raise eyebrows. What I found leads me to believe that this could also be a GPU problem. Please check my previous reply as I've updated it with an additional image. WintermintP EDIT: Actually, nevermind, that just means the internet got cut off, I just learned.
  2. It said I have to burn the iso to a disk and I don't know which iso I have to burn to the disk. I could've tried the USB method, had there even been a USB drive that I could use... Also the other problem is that the instructions said I have to go to some kind of directory before Windows boots up but I tried all three menus only to find nothing. How do I check the temperatures of these things? I'm sorry, but I'm a complete beginner to high-spec desktop computers. >. Okay, huge update to the whole thing. I may or may not have found the problem itself. I know I had a freeze somewhere around this day. EDIT: And these are another one of my findings:
  3. Okay... but I don't know if I'll get any help from them... In other news, I checked the CyberPowerPC thread again and they suggested running RAM diagnostics on the computer. I couldn't get Memtest64 to work so I used the Windows diagnostics tool and found no error. Is the Windows diagnostics tool reliable or do I absolutely have to use Memtest64? Even then, I don't think the problem is the RAM because the problem persists regardless of what I have running at the time. Update on the CyberPowerPC tech support. I left them a message but I have yet to hear their response. Possibly it might take a really long time. WintermintP
  4. No. I got it earlier this year. Somewhere in February/March. So it's less than half a year old. WintermintP
  5. Sometimes I'm working on my DAW and that's the only thing it's running. Other times I'm on the internet checking e-mails. Other times I'm looking through stuff on File Explorer so I can find certain files such as plugin directories. There's not a specific scenario this happens on. It happens just about anywhere. If this additional information is any helpful, it doesn't matter how many applications are running or how big the said applications are. There are times when I have no large applications at all (i.e. I just have the File Explorer or Notepad on) and the computer would still freeze completely. There was a time I left the computer on for three hours just to see if the freeze would go away, but it wouldn't. The computer would stay frozen until I kill it off come what may.
  6. No, the OS just freezes and nothing would move. Neither the mouse nor keyboard. It would just stay still from that point forward until I manually reboot it. WintermintP
  7. Er, okay, this is where I start to have a faint memory where there was one guy that taught the other guy how to run diagnostics to find out what's causing the freezes and crashes... are you able to recall that too? WintermintP
  8. WHUT?! O-O Then what causes the entire OS to freeze and crash constantly at random points?! WintermintP
  9. The... other side panel? O_O;; How do I do that? Is than an EVGA?! And STILL my computer keeps freezing and crashing?! o_O ... Could it be that this could be one of the really dime-a-dozen EVGA PSUs? But isn't EVGA one of the better power supply brands? I'm completely confused...
  10. I got the Corsair CX550M on Newegg for $71! I'm not done yet, though. Now the question is how to install it... Okay, I seem to have the power supply inside a larger unit that holds other items as well. The main question is, will the fan on the new PSU be okay in that larger unit? https://drive.google.com/open?id=1AMlgyXN7nJd3B35MaJcidXmH12njzIgc https://drive.google.com/open?id=1kWaY4jfFdqNxbZU3pxcwiPYdpZE_QGMo Oh dear... Is the power supply in there or is the whole block the PSU? But then if the latter is the case, how am I going to fit the new PSU?
  11. The problem is, I can't tell if that's the peak rating or the consistent rating. If that were to really work then it would've come up on the recommended slot a long time ago. WintermintP
  12. It's $110.99 (CAD) where I live but okay, looks like that'll have to do... Thanks T.T WintermintP
  13. So... er... Hi... first of all... So I just checked this Power Supply Calculator that was brought up on the TechQuickie video. What I have is a stock CyperPowerPC GUA600 and everyone at the CyberPower forums are saying that the first thing I have to do with any CyberPower PC is that I have to get a new PSU. So I checked the Power Supply Calculator and it's saying that my recommended PSU wattage is 390W. The good news is that I got a recommended PSU. The bad news is that stores don't have them anymore. I was going to consider buying the Cooler Master MasterWatt Lite 600, but there are two problems with this. The first problem is that I have no clue how to check the continuous wattage rating on it, and whether the PSU is actually going to be sufficient and not too little or too much power. The second problem is the connectors... because, well, I'm completely new to all this connector mumbo jumbo so I'm scared to even buy any PSU at all, because I might run into problems such as buying a PSU without the right connectors I need. If anyone can provide some insight as to what's actually going to be a good power supply to buy and how to overcome this connector anxiety that would be very helpful. Thanks guys! (^ ^)/` WintermintP
