  1. Ok so I just updated the graphics driver and Windows to the latest version (which is the very basic of troubleshooting) and hope that solves the problem.
  2. Thanks for the help. I'm not sure about the graphics driver as I touched nothing on that but will try on that. GTA is not the problem I believe as it was not opened in the first crash (given that both crashes are from the same problem source). Just now when I was typing this, a Windows update 1803 popped up telling me to install it. Should I leave it there or install the update?
  3. Yes the HDD is a secondary drive. I was running nothing from that drive (which I am pretty sure because I have no programs on that drive). I just hit "properties" and "scan" on my drives in windows file manager.
  4. Yes it was running fine before that. I just ran a scan on my ssd and hdd and found that the ssd had no problem but the hdd needed repair. I hit repair and it said the repair was successful. Any implications on that?
  5. Thanks for the reply. I have an m.2 ssd as my boot and game drive. So I don't know if the HDD played a role in the crashes. But I will check it though. I should clarify that the first crash happened the next day I built my new system with a new case and AIO. Don't know if that matters. Looking into the Event Viewer I only found one critical error which is Kernel-Power 41 (63). Found a couple of posts and currently trying the troubleshoots one by one. Hope that works out.
  6. 2 weeks ago when I was browsing through the forum, the Windows bluescreened suddenly with the error "critical_process_died" without any sign beforehand. I turned off the pc and took it apart, mounted the PSU correctly (It was not secured when it happened) and the system worked fine as if nothing happened. 2 hours ago my PC bluescreened once again. This time while playing GTA V. Bluescreened with "critical process died". It rebooted automatically this time, but stuck at the boot screen for a bit, before launching the troubleshooting blue screen. I chose the option of booting the system normally but it just looped back onto the same screen. Opening BIOS, I found nothing but something like "SATAxxxxxxxxx"(forgot the numbers) being the only boot option. I finally held down the power button and rebooted it. This time in the BIOS I found my boot manager back. Pressing F10, everything worked fine as if nothing happened (again). I have googled it and found nothing like my case. Is there anything I could do to solve this? I really don't like my PC running into problems randomly. Help would be appreciated
  7. Currently looking for AIO coolers and come down to the kraken x62 and the h115i pro rgb. I am personally leaning towards the x62 because of its far better look and slightly better performance. However, I have heard lots of complaints about the CAM software just being buggy in general and that's tearing me apart. Does anyone here have experience with the x62 and how is the software implementation? Any help would be appreciated!
  8. So I finally decided to get the 8700k in view of the upgrade path in the future and the fact that I'm solely a gamer. Thank you guys for your suggestions
  9. Great suggestion though! Definitely gonna consider this. I have heard that the current lineup of mobo for ryzen 2 may also contain future gen ryzen CPUs. Is that a more sensible of an upgrade path compared to getting a 8700k rn with the same system you suggested?
  10. So I guess I'd wait till another generation of course to launch. But what makes you think the CPUs of the current gen won't do any future-proofing?
  11. No I didn't include that. I guess I'm taking kind of a "1-step-at-a-time" approach. I can wait and atm I just want the most solid single upgrade that would worth my money. IMO getting the same gen CPU would not be the best because I kinda want my pc in some sense "future proof". Thank you for the reply anyways.
  12. Thanks for your reply. I'm looking for a full upgrade on my pc and getting a new platform is just a matter of time. So in your sense is spending money on a higher end GPU worth more atm?
  13. So I'm running an i5 3570 (non-k) and gtx 1060 6gb in my gaming pc. The system is mainly for gaming and I don't edit video/render etc.. Gaming in 1440p and hope to achieve 144fps. Now looking for an upgrade with the budget of 650$. I am now having a hard time deciding whether to upgrade to i7 8700k(+motherboard+RAM) or a better graphics card. Can anyone help me decide? Cheers in advance!
  14. Didn't register for that. Will try contacting support. Lost my purchase receipt though...
  15. Been using the g413 romer-g keyboard for 8 months mainly for gaming (overwatch, r6s, pubg). I smash the spacebar often when playing OW for double jumping and I wonder if it is the cause. It worked fine until last week when I often double jump accidentally with one keypress only. I tried typing in keyboard tester and there was 2 input with 1 keypress (not all the time, but often). Also tried plugging in another normal-functioning one to the same PC and it worked fine. So it confirms it is the hardware itself. Dust cleaning didn't help. Does anyone have fixes for this? Don't want to buy a new one yet as it's quite new. But any help would be appreciated. Cheers in advance
