Rough review on that one LOL. I like the idea of the ink cartridges not having electronics in them. I'm pretty sure most companies design them to only print so many pages and to last only so long before breaking themselves.

I was leaning toward Canon or HP from what i saw looking around. I'm not an Epson fan, I have an Epson that i'll calibrate the heads on then print 2 times and it needs re-calibrated. My wife and i both agree we have had bad experiences with Epson and Canon seems to be very reliable. The HPs seem to have great specs and review as well, however canon seems to be what my preference is and i'm leaning toward canon. Thanks for the input! I also think you are right.. I might just get a fairly budged all-in one then get a proper photo printer. Here's what i think i'm going to do.. I think I'll get a smaller all in one the PIXMA TS9120 I like the size capability and the form factor for the price. Then I'll probably wait a little bit (so the wife doesn't kill me) and get a legit Photo Printer. The PIXMA Pro-100 is pretty expensive, i was hoping to find an all-in-one that could do good photos for about the price of it. all in all I think it's worth spending a little more for both. Do you guys think that is a good idea?

Hey guys, I'm looking to upgrade my home printer from a $60 Canon from a couple years ago. I am getting a new job that i will likely need to use a (2 side scanner, 2 side color printer, wireless connectivity, and fax would be nice to have), however i am getting into photography as a hobby and i'm looking for something that will be able to produce good quality color prints. I've looked around the internet, but most of the printer reviews are really generic, and the specs for printers on manufacturer sites are also very generic, still acting like WiFi is a new feature. I guess i'm looking for recommendations for an all around great printer for business printing and high quality photo printing.

No you were pretty clear, i was just hoping i misunderstood... That's really stupid though, i'm not a fan. people can play HDR games from GPU's but the film industry wants you to use integrated graphics because what? they think people can't figure out a way to screen record or something?? honestly i can't make sense as to why they are so particular. I remember having issues playing back HD netflix with my GTX 1060 a while ago but my little mini acepc in the bedroom had no problem. that got fixed though (i believe through updating definitions of HDCP enabled devices). It's such a strange problem to have.

Lol, Thanks man! so just to clarify though, you are saying that the CPU needs to have integrated graphics (for whatever reason) but the display can come from the graphics card? The budgets for the two guys has me looking to cut costs (+-$20) by getting a 9600KF without integrated graphics, but i need the integrated graphics for everything to jive?

I'm more looking for drives that are capable, and these systems will have gaming graphics cards as the primary output to be used as HTPC/Gaming computers to replace consoles. The graphics cards will have 1.4 and will be HDCP capable. 1 drive i found though, states that it can ONLY use intel graphics to output UHD (doesn't make sense to me). I just want to make sure that the drives i go with will have the capabilities and will work with and push through the graphics cards.

Hello, BLUF: I am in need of an internal optical drive that is has HDR UHD capability, and would like help if you know of some drives that are suitable. Body: I am a fan of HTPCs that replace most of the entertainment center to include consoles and BR players, i have one that i made a few years back however my drive is not UHD HDR capable, i was looking to upgrade it while also building HTPCs for my brother and his friend to move into the PC gaming world from console. They have both also requested optical drives capable of UHD HDR formats and playback. However, I have only found 2 internal drives on the market that seems to have both capabilities Pioneer (BDR-212UBK), Pioneer BDR-212UBK and the Pioneer (BDR-211UBK) Pioneer BDR-211UBK. The BDR-211UBK is an outdated drive and found it on amazon, but the description is written strangely, in bold writing it says "Ultra HD Blu-ray is supported only if a display is powered by Intel Graphics and supports HDCP 2.2. If your computer includes more than one graphics processor, Ultra HD Blu-ray is supported only on the display that is connected and powered by Intel Graphics." Does this mean i can't use a graphics card like a 2070 for the display output to use the drive for BD playback???? Or does it mean that i just can't have a Intel CPU without integrated graphics like a I5-9600KF, but am able to use a graphics card as long as the CPU has integrated graphics? I don't see how that would be an issue. I know that everything needs to be capable of it down the line to the monitor or TV, even now my graphics card and Pioneer ELITE receiver are HDCP capable... (refer to attached image) in both of these drives too, the only mention of HDR is it saying that if you have a non HDR display media will be output as SDR and they do not simply advertise the HDR capability. very confusing... whatever, nobody ever reads the whole thing. I should be able to access my files on all my computers without the homegroup like i did before. but can't. the network settings seem to do nothing for me anymore and I NEVER USED THE HOMEGROUP TO BEGIN WITH!

i don't think you read everything. i wasn't using homegroup to begin with, after the update my PCs vanished, NONE of the settings in the network and sharing center change that, nor do they allow me to access shared drives. this isn't some pointless post.

i have tried literally everything i can find, PLEASE im begging for a fix. if you read my entire post. i wasn't even using homegroup to begin with, i CAN NOT gain access to anything that is "shared" over my network.

yeah, those settings don't seem to do anything anymore... even when turning on netowork discoverability it didn't show the PC and everything else. it's not going to be a basic fix. Iv'e tried plugging it in "so to speak" haha

An update that bricks computers, pushed services on people and breaks large amounts of networks. i think I've seen things similar on WAN before. sorry if i posted in the wrong category, but all the links are there.

I'm not familiar with apple computers, but air drop on my iphone is just sending files from one device to another right? I'm looking to be able to access, read/write all files stored on drives in one computer, from a different computer at any given time.

I do use a VPN, I still have TunnelBear. Bought the year subscription before "the breakup" where is the Invisibility option? I have been able to get the PC and shared folders to show up in the network by enabling some services in "services.msc" that were turned off from the update. I am still unable to access them from ANY computer. i'll wait for the command line info if you would be willing to post a more descriptive tutorial for me. lets just say i'm entry level computer smart. NOT an expert by any means. Willing to take any help i can get.

Where to start, The new update is bricking some computers and pretty much rotting everyone's home and small business networks. Mine included!! The update is removing homegroup (an easy way to set up file sharing and networks) among some other changes that can be seen here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/planning/windows-10-1803-removed-features Although i din't use homegroup i was rendered incapable of being able to access and share my drives and files from PC to PC. The update made all of my PCs undiscoverable in the network tab in file explorer and even when i found a way to fix that, i was unable to gain access to said PCs, folders, and drives (even from the computer the files are stored on) through the network window. I am unable to map to them, the options in the network and sharing center seem to be just rhetorical now, and after individually going to drives, folders, files and changing sharing settings to full access for "everyone", and doing the same in network ad sharing center I am still unable to access my files from the network. Microsoft is trying to push the use of their cloud service through this update. I was not using a "homegroup" there was no need to use one, but after the update my settings in the network and sharing center seem to be there for no reason at all. I have tried mapping to each computer and the shared folders. I have tried resetting the networks, renaming the PCs and folders, and workgroups, changing the sharing settings, and have exhausted every option i could think to gain access to my folders from other computers. even when i map to a shared folder or drive i get the error code 0x80070035 and after troubleshooting, the problem found states "The remote device or resource won't accept the connection". How can microsoft just break every home and small business network? People aren't going to use the cloud service. Sharing folders and homegroups aren't outdated, Microsoft's tactics are.... i am very frustrated with this. I feel that i am fairly computer savvy but i am admittedly at a loss for solutions to this network bricking update. PLEASE HELP! I shouldn't be forced to upload my terabytes of data and files to a cloud service so i can access them from computer to computer. trying to work with HDR video that way is a nightmare!!! In the meantime i am asking for help here...
