Hey guys i wanna buy the Aoc C24G1 but this guy is saying your not getting a true 144hz but a 100hz cause rensponse time fails to transmit fast pixels and 144hz updates picture every 7ms. Is that true?

can i expect 144hz smoothness or 100hz

I have an asus monitor which runs at native 1440:900p 75hz and i want to overclock it to 100hz and propably lower my resolution but I’m not sure VGA input will support that. I google the max refresh rate vga can support but couldn’t find nothing can someone help?
