  1. not harmful, no. but you could see your power supply have a below average life span. you should never cheap out on your psu, but don't overspend either, you'll be fine with an 850W
  2. Budget (including currency): 450 Country: slovakia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: video editing so my friend is asking me to make him a new editing pc. he's on a shoestring budget and currently running an intel core i3 4360 with no gpu. Is the 3200g a significant enough upgrade for him to upgrade or will the difference be superficial?
  3. well I happened to type on my keyboard while it happened and for a moment I wasn't able to write so I guess I'm getting a new kb
  4. so every once in a while I hear the sounds for devices unplugging and plugging in and then a window pops up saying that an unknown USB device failed. I always go to device manager and uninstall the device but it keeps reappearing. any clue on how to identify what exactly is not functioning and how to fix it?
  5. wy though? I mean I already know illustrator there is no point in me trying to learn to use an another program
  6. so tommorow in our IT class we'll dive our feet into vector graphics. The thing is I am already pretty comfortable with adobe illustrator and would like to use it instead of whatever free software they'll make us learn. So, Is there any way I could use it there? I mean I can't just bring it on a usb drive, right? Or could I somehow bypass the admin permission that would prevent me from installing any apps?
  7. so I reinstalled windows on one of my drives, coicidentally the same one that I had steam client on. so I reinstalled steam and now it shows that I don't have any games installed despite the fact that they are there, in a steamlibrary folder. Is there any way to make steam see those games? I have 500GB worth of games there and I don't want to torture my hard drive by installing all of them again
  8. ok so I tried unplugging everything I had from my pc and it finally booted
  9. so I used msconfig to get into safe mode, but as I restarted I coundn’t see anything on the monitor. I tried a different cable but the monitor seem so be ok. Could it be because I have no integrated gpu (ryzen 5 2600x) ? How do I turn the safe mode off?
  10. well, I cleaned the partition but I can't format it because it thinks its wrote protected
  11. I can confirm that they are also write protected when I plug it into the mb
  12. I have tried disabling it in command prompt as well as editind the registry but no matter what I do, every drive is write protected. Odd thing is that when I plug them to another computer they all wok perfectly.
  13. Model EVGA superNova 550w G3 And unfortunately not anymore
  14. Well one is EVGA superNova 750G3 and the other is EVGA superNova 750w G+ both are 80plus Gold Unfortunately not according to pcpartpicker Im buying from a local retailer but here's the link if you want EVGA G+ And EVGA G3 For ryzen 5 2600x and gtx 1070ti neither of them are overclocked So basically I used a 550w PSU for my setup. It served a year and turned off every time I did something really intensive (like VR)
  15. So my PSU died and I've narrowed it down to these two candidates. The G+ costs 90€ while G3 costs 110€. They have the same wattage btw. So will I somehow benefit from the 110€ one or is it just a scam?
  16. So, I was playing battlefield V and then my computer randomly turned off. Naturally, I turned it back on and then I realized that my fans aren't spinning. Most of them anyway. And the RGB was just as inconsistent. Front fans were off ( both rgb and the motor) while the top fans' rgb was on. That might be because the top fans' rgb is connecte through an rgb header while corsair link controls the top fans. Anyway, I removed one ram slot and it magically turned on again. A while later though, the same thing happened. But this time reseating ram didn't help. The weird thing is that gpu's rgb and rams rgb works. I thought about it for a wihile and narrowed the problem to three possible scenarios: Possibly dead cpu thanks to power outages I and previous sudden power losses. The motherboard speaker would however tell me if there was a bad component. Unfortunately, my motherboard didn't come with a speaker and I didn't buy one. With that said it would probably be useles anyway; my motherboard beeps during post. Bad PSU. I am using a 550W psu to power ryzen 5 2600X and GTX 1070ti. I work as a computer mechanic and I have noticed similar behaviour with the restarts in computers that have insufficient power supplies. But It night just be enough to power it. You tell me Bad motherboard. I think this is pretty self-explanatory. Here's the list of my computer's parts: Asus x470-f Ryzen 5 2600x Gskill tridentZ rgb 2x8Gb 3200Mhz Strix gtx 1070ti Evga supernova 550w G3 So what do you think is the cause?
  17. So, I hate my brother and I want to get him blacklisted off our router. unfortunately, I can't seem to find a way that would actually work. I am using a Tp-link archer C5
  18. well, ray tracing isn't that good, so I guess the 1080ti
  19. so, I wanted to warm my room a bit so I started doing aida64. while I was doing that, I realized that my CPU is stopping at 3.8Ghz even though max turbo speed of ryzen 5 2600x is 4.2Ghz. has anyone else noticed something like this, or did I just lose the silicon lottery?
