  1. How does the cooling of a PS4 have to do with a PC? A good air cooler and a decent case and he's fine. I would suggest you read the forums here a bit, It sounds like the 15 year old is running this build and has you convinced you need to spend 4 GRAND on a box. Why was the motherboard bought months ago? What happened to that build? Really all this overkill for a little teenager to stream a game to all of what? 4-5 friends? Gotta keep things in perspective here, you're not building a graphic design workstation for a big company here. Folks are giving you great advice, up to you to heed it.

  3. $1000 for Storage?!?! Did you even realize that? Get some 4TB or 8TB HDD's for the mass storage, not the upper end of expensive SSD's. Get him a decent GPU too, at least a 2070Super or 2080Super. And don't pay for Windows like that. 3700X is more than he needs anyway, the 3800XT is a bad proposition.
  4. Use pcpartpicker.com, it will present the information in a much better format for us to help you out. Do you know what $4k gets you? You list a very weak GPU for a $4k budget, sounds like you're just shooting from the hip here.
  5. Do you need passive or active speakers? Monitors like my Mackie's come in 3, 4 and 5 inch sizes for portability or budget concerns.
  6. With the power of machines these days, 3 PC's is stupid. It's a ridiculous design.

    Ultra wide or no?

UW all day every day. Except for work.
  8. Something changed, whether it was an update to an existing program or a game library that runs in the background or soemthing. But honestly, its a normal usage amount as you use your machine and cookies and websites do their thing over time. Maybe you went to a new website that imbedded something. We cannot know. Sorry but you can always turn off all that background stuff and see what makes the biggest impact?
  9. Right, but you realize most gaming and workstations don't cost more than $2000? Do you know what a $2000 workstation will do or how it will tackle your tasks? Not saying don't spend your money how you want, but I am not getting the sense you know what you're asking. For video editing, what kind? Just editing your gameplay? 4k? 8k? You know what you need to do before you buy the right tool. A PC is nothing but a tool to accomplish something. What programs are you using? That impacts things too.
  10. I would consider looking at what builds do what and cost what before throwing a ridiculous number out for a budget. For starters, do you even know what $4500 will get you, ballpark? It's like going to a car dealer and saying I have a $200,000 budget, what ya got?! Need to know some basics about PC's first.
  11. Yes, it'll just transfer at USB 3.0 or whatever the other side of the connection limits it too.
  12. Pretty sure it has and you didn't notice. Look at all the processes you installed yourself, Game Manager, Razer software, Dragon something, Nvidia software etc. The machine has a lot of things to do. Did you recently install something that boosted the RAM usage? If it just jumped up, SOMETHING was added.
  13. Yeah, that's reasonable. Background processes eat up a lot of RAM and aren't always just doing things when you use them. They update, run scans, etc. I'd grab another 8GB of RAM, personally.
  14. You can use software that will block Youtube the feed coming thru, but to have one that scans your display... as in takes a pic constantly of your screen and compares it to a pic of the Youtube logo? Because programs aren't that smart yet, no way a program can know what is displayed unless it reads the source.
  15. How are we supposed to help you with how you asked? What do you have now? What are the prices? How much money do you have? What region are you in? What do YOU prefer for an ecosystem? Do you have any past use with OnePlus or Samsung? On and on and on.
  16. Any proof to this? I personally don't believe there is a market for TV's that size. Most are limited by the mounting area over a fireplace, here in America. Think you're blowing smoke.
  17. How is it better to sell something and have nothing in the interim? Just work, buy things, use things, and live life. You're worrying about $20-$30 in a price swing at best, which can be explained by Ebay's swings daily. Makes absolutely no sense to sell your GPU.
  18. Are you using the word scammed when you mean import taxes, availability, and economy? If those are the prices in Turkey, it is what it is. Maybe you should have asked this BEFORE you bought?

    RTX 3000

So he'll spend over $1k for a 3080Ti to get the best but goes with AMD to lose fps vs Intel. /logic
  20. Dedayog

    RTX 3000

You're talking out of both sides of your mouth. Don't want to get even 1 less FPS, but go with AMD. No sense made here.
