  1. Thanks for the answer! It was a slight concern after noticing how hot the drive felt. Thanks for the advice and such.
  2. Hi guys! So, I recently bought a mounting bracket/plate to allow me to put my 3.5" HDD in a 5.25" bay slot. I'd previously had it in a drive cage infront of a fan. As it is now, there are no fans blowing air over it. I've noticed also that it gets rather warm, though I hadn't paid any real attention to that before. It might also be worth nothing that the bracket did come with vibration isolating pads that sit between the bracket and the hard drive, just in case anyone was wondering. What I want to know is this: What are safe temperatures for hard drives to operate under? And what (if any) software is there that I could use to monitor the temperature of my hard drive? The HDD in question is a 1TB WD Scorpio Black (I forget the RPM), and the case I have it in is a 600T. Any input on this matter would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Attached to this is a picture of the 5.25" bays on the front of my PC's chasis. The picture was intended to show the NZXT Sentry Mesh. At the bottom you can see the HDD.
  3. Hey there guys, just a general query. I'm interested in the Razer Edge Pro, having seen Linus' recent video on the product, and am curious as to what the release date for the UK is. I'm also interested in knowing what the pricing will be, though going based off of the current US pricing, it ought to be around £800-1,000, but this could be wrong. If any of you guys know anything about the UK release, please let me know, it would be much appreciated! Thanks!
  4. I have the 600T in standard Graphite colouring... Plastic front panel and top panel, though all of the meshes are metal. Back panel is also plastic. Frame is steel construction as are both side panels.
  5. I'm running a 3570k with a Hyper 212; idle it stays around 30 degrees, max I've managed to get it to was around 65 on Prime95. Edit: I'm also using 2 Corsair SP120 Performance edition fans in push/pull, but even with the stock fan the temps were almost exactly the same.
  6. That would depend entirely on the plastic. It should always be fine though; even if the screws don't thread through the fan, they will still thread through the holes in the case, unless those are also completely worn.
  7. Build complete! Took myself and my cousin a meager 4 hours to put the build together and a further several hours to get all of the drivers and other software installed; now running like a charm. :D
  8. Indeed! That's the issue, I'll try and find the exact product number as I'm pretty sure that's how Dell name their monitors. EDIT: Found it! It is the Dell ST2321L; I'd like to get another, but I just want to see what other options there are :)
  9. Hey there guys! So, I currently have one monitor - it's a Dell 23-inch 1080p monitor (don't ask me which, I don't know the product number and they aren't in production anymore xD), which I have been running in unison with my laptop screen (1366x768). I'm building a new gaming rig and will be able to power two monitors. I will be keeping my laptop as I can use it for work and such and like having a second machine for more menial tasks such as word processing or simply watching Youtube videos. I, personally, wouldn't bother going for a three-monitor display settup, so I started thinking about alternatives. As my current monitor isn't in production, I wanted to see what other good monitors are in production. Post your suggestions! 21/23/25/27" monitors, 1080p or whatever screen resolution you want, let's see what you guys can find!

    Audio Setups

Currently, Logitech Z623 2.1 speakers, on-board audio on laptop/desktop. Sennheiser HD555 headphones (slowly falling apart...), Sennheiser HD215 headphones (not as good sound quality as the HD555's, but good enough for my needs), Turtle Beach X12 headset.
  11. Most definitely. I may need to get one or two extra fans for the CPU cooler (it only comes with one as stock) to be able to overclock properly, but yes. :D
  12. Hey there guys. I'm going to be building a new gaming rig; I have the parts arriving today and tomorrow. I currently only have the case at the time of this post going up. The specs for the build are as follows: Main parts/build i5 3570k CPU Asus P8Z77-V motherboard GeForce 660ti graphics card Corsair Vengeance blue, 8gb (2x4gb dims) memory Corsair Graphite series 600T case Corsair HX650W PSU Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo CPU cooler Western Digital Black 1TB - storage drive OCZ Agility 3 120gb - OS/boot and games drive Extras/Stuff I want to get Extra side-panel for 600T so that I can have a windowed side panel (not a big fan of the mesh version) NZXT FZ-120 Airflow fans - If the stock 200mm fan in the top of the 600T isn't cooling my system enough, I'll get some of these (white LED version.) NZXT Hue RGB LED controller w/2 meter LED strip - For those who don't know, this thing is awesome. If you want good general lighting in your case, you might be best off with one of these. (They're around £30 in the UK, unsure about US prices.) This is my first custom build; no particular reason for posting this up here, but I thought it may get some interest. If anyone wants to know anything else about the build, how it runs, FPS on certain games, (No I will NOT buy games just to test the FPS lol!) how well the stock fans cool, I don't know, whatever you can think of, just ask. I may post pictures of the build once finished and/or in progress. Thanks!
