  1. Well there's nothing on the MB page about this.
  2. So it seems no one here knows a correct answer to this??
  3. Not that this is normal behaviour for a Z690 system. That's why I'm asking here. Can't find a clear answer on google.
  4. Since last year I'm using a Z690 system. Few days ago downloaded inspectre and it says I'm not protected against meltdown?? ALso the button "Enable Meltdown Protection" doesn't do anything.
  5. In the past I had a Z170 build and thought a i5 6500 will do but a year later I bought a i7 6700K which I should have bought straight away back then... Now a Z690 build I went straight with a i7 12700K and pretty satisfied with it. May upgrade to a Raptor Lake CPU in few years if it's worth it.
  6. I use my PC for office work and gaming.
  7. As the title says, leave a comment below why. Thanks!
  8. Well I do know my dads PC cooler is mounted with Arctic silver 5 back in 2010 and it still runs cool today. For my own PC I used Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut since 2017, my i7 6700K still running cool. Some paste will dry out and showing cracks, but indeed a good question you have...
  9. After reading/comparing a lot of motherboards, I have decided and going for the Gigabyte Z690 Aorus Master, ok no ALC4080 but ALC1220-VB instead. It's marked as E-ATX but it's only 15mm wider than a regular ATX board and it should just fit fine in my ATX case.
  10. I wanted this motherboard in the first place, but the fact is , it doesn't fit my Noctua NH-U12A cooler...
  11. Budget (including currency): 500 EUROS Country: NL Europe Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Office/gaming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I'm looking for a Z690 motherboard which must fit my Noctua NH-U12A cooler. 3, 4 or 5 M.2 slots, Realtek ALC4080 or better, wifi is nice but only if the antennas not screwed on the I/O directly. At least 7 USB ports on I/O, preferably 6 sata, once built I need to use 3 Sata SSD's and 2 M.2 SSD's as start. Must have software to adjust fan speeds , at least 7 PWM fan headers, double for CPU fans. I will use a i7 12700K and probably not OC for now but I want a good and cool running VRM for heavy gaming. Thanks!
