  1. What'd you mean to do it properly? is there any difference between doing it properly and taking it to some kind of recycling center ?
  2. ah okay, is there not a problem with the coolant though?
  3. So long story short, i have an AIO that it a few years old and of which the pump is struggling (it cools but like not very well anymore). So i have since replaced it and now i need to get rid of the old AIO, any one have any idea of how to properly get rid of this thing? Everywhere i have looked doesn't really answer this question tbh The AIO has the cooler, rubber polymer material for the soft tubing of the AIO, the copper on the plate that goes against the CPU, and i think it is an aluminium radiator but tbh i don't really know about that bit. Anyone really know how i should get rid of this thing properly? being all environmentally responsible and all that ya know. Thanks in advance!
  4. what setting is that? the CPU core voltage to manual and set it as 1.2v?
  5. i dont think that the pump is dead, i know that the enermax pump is supposed to be very quiet for as pump, but from feeling the tubing and the block, i can feel some vibrations, which makes me feel that is is actually okay, though the flow rate thing might be a problem, since i would have thought it would ramp up when the CPU got to that high a temperature and high a load the system would detect it and ramp the fan speeds up, including the pump speed. But i did just plug it into the CPU fan header, which is what i think was recommended that i do with the AIO (though i can't quite remember fully) so i don't think the issue is that it isn't plugged in properly. is the voltages and the clock speed of the CPU not an issue? like i dont think it should be running at those speeds and those voltages on idle.
  6. Okay, so i don't really know what it is that I'm doing with this kind of stuff, which is why i am now here asking you guys about how to fix this. Basically, the issue that i am having is that the temperatures on each of the CPU cores are way too high ( talking like idling i'm at 54-58 C on the cores, and under load the system is basically being pinned at 100, which definitely isn't good), my system specs are as follows: ASus maximus gene 8 32gb DDR4 hyperx ram gtx 1070 evga FTW i7-6700k ( it is at stock, with a base speed of 4 GHz, however it seems to be pinned at 4.2GHz, even when not under load, and from looking at CPUZ, is at 1.375v, which i don't think the voltage on the cpu should be that high considering the situation) finally the cooler i am using is the enermax liqmax 2 240s liquid cooler AIO. This has been an issue for a while now that has been very irritating, but i just haven't had the time to do anything about it till now. If it helps, i have not overclocked the system since i built it a few years ago, but as such, don't really know how to navigate the system bios that well. I don't really know what to do about this, so if anyone has any ideas on what to do to fix it, that would be much appreciated. I really just want to make it so that the computer isn't quite as loud as it currently is, and i want to make it run significantly cooler, since i am worried about the life span/ condition of the CPU from it running this hot for a long period of time. The only thing that i could really think of is maybe to get a new cooler, since this one is like 3 years old at this point, but it is a good cooler and is still an liquid cooler, so surely it should be fine, and i have already tried reapplying the thermal compound to the CPU, but that did not seem to do anything really to the temps, so i don't this that was or still is the issue with it. Anyway any help with the issue is much appreciated, Thanks.
  7. Okay just on a final note (hopefully), would these ones be likely to work (just found the recommended corsair ones on scan for a little less), as i feel a little better and it would be more convenient for me to buy it from scan over corsairs' website. https://www.scan.co.uk/products/corsair-individually-sleeved-psu-dc-cable-kittype-3-(gen-2)-for-axi-ax-hx-rm-txm-white https://www.scan.co.uk/products/corsair-individually-sleeved-rm-ax(i)1200i-860i-760i-atx-24pin-cable-(gen-2)-white Thanks!
  8. Okay, thanks, so would this be the correct cables to get for my power supply ? https://www.corsair.com/uk/en/Categories/Products/Accessories-|-Parts/PC-Components/Power-Supplies/Professional-Individually-sleeved-DC-Cable-Kit%2C-Type-3-(Generation-2)%2C-WHITE/p/CP-8920050
  9. Sorry forgot to mention, i have the rm850w (no i or x or anything ) gold power supply https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00FG9FZS2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 thats the one i bought a few years ago
  10. Oh right, so are there a corsair branded power supply cables in black/white that i could get to the UK? If there are that would be great, and give me a bit more in terms of peace of mind about the quality of the cables
  11. oh right, okay, thank you for letting me know!
  12. thats the main issue, i don't really have a lot of space for cable management behind the motherboard tray.
  13. HI, so this is just a quick one i need a little help with. I have a corsair rm850 power supply in my computer, it is fully modular, which is exactly what i would like to ask about here, as i would like to get some neutral looking black and white coloured cables for my power supply, just to make my computer look a little bit better with the lighting i am thinking of getting. The ones i was going to go for are the essentials kit from cable mod (https://www.scan.co.uk/products/cablemod-c-series-modflex-essentials-cable-kit-for-corsair-rmi-rmx-black-white?gclid=Cj0KCQjwz93cBRCrARIsAEFbWsjm4NjIyZk_drjdEUi52jfvsbBLhW5wINlaz012pQaF6ibJajhoZ_QaAu97EALw_wcB) . Are these ones a good choice to get for a computer? Any feedback on that would be much appreciated as I'm not too sure if these are a great choice, as they are similar to the price i paid for the power supply a couple years ago. I would look for a cheaper kit, but i am worried about getting cheaply done cable, which I'm worried would then would have a shot at breaking some of my other components. I really just need a kit that would work well with the corsair LL 20 fans i would like to get to add a bit of lighting to my computer. Any help on this would be much appreciated, thanks
  14. okay, so I've done a bit of messing about a testing with the computer. I can confirm that the cooler is perfectly fine, but i found the issue, the CPU is kicking out a crapload of heat. Like the water that is going to the radiator of the cooler is noticeably warm, then the returning water is cold to the touch (so the lss, the cooler is fine) However i then tried to undervolt the CPU to around the 1.35/1.39v region, but i can't find the LLC value to change it and as a result, whenever i boot into windows, it crashes (though i don't get a CPU over temperature error so i suppose that's good) i found this post (which is where i got the idea from) on someone who had a similar issue to me, but they seem to have far greater knowledge on how to deal with this kind of thing than i do.n https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?90828-Is-there-a-way-to-lower-Core-Voltage If anyone could pssibly help me out in how to bring the voltage of the CPU down to an actual reasonable value (bare in mind that the stock voltage for these chips i think is like 1.2v), other than that i'm really not sure what to do about this, rather stuck atm. Any help is much appreciated
