  1. Yeah I tried that with both RAM sticks in every configuration I can think of.
  2. Here are some pictures I took. The CPU looks fine from what I can tell. The block (disassembled) looks like crap. I had algae so I stupidly (I need a stronger word) used vinegar and bleach to kill it all in the loop and I left there too long. I'm not sure how the CPU socket looks. Looks like 2 different colors but I'm not sure if new boards are like that. Could the CPU block be in such bad shape that it can't even cool the CPU enough to POST? Or could it be something else?
  3. Oof I'll have to disassemble my entire computer for that. I'll try the mounting pressure first and cross my fingers.
  4. It is, the RAM is rgb and lights up. I tried channels 2 and 4 instead of the recommended 1 and 3, nothing. You sure? My mobo literally says "code 22 check CPU"
  5. Build components: ASUS ROG Maximus Formula X CPU- 8086k Ram- 2 Sticks 16GB each Hey everyone so I recently cleaned out my watercooling loop after having my computer be off for a few months (too busy, just been using my laptop). I finally got around to cleaning it out. My keyboard doesn't light up when plugged into any USB port (MOBO or case) but it does when plugged into another computer (I know this is weird but I don't know what it means). The PSU is fine as all my RGB lights up, the MOBO displays a message and the pump runs. My monitor is fine since for a brief second when the computer is turned on the monitor lights up as though it received a signal. I tried turning it off and on, trying different ram configurations (switching the sticks, running only 1 at a time in different channels), clearing the CMOS (convenient button on the back) and discharging the capacitors. When cleaning out the loop I did not touch the CPU block and it worked flawlessly when I last used it months ago. I see a bunch of codes pop up and it goes through them before getting stuck on code 22. Any idea what else I can try?
  6. I'm just using the built in speakers on my monitors.
  7. What's display pass through? I'm using my gpu as opposed to onboard graphics so I thought it would also mean I'm not using onboard audio?
  8. Yes, and I've tried both to make sure it isn't bad speakers.
  9. So I have a 1080ti connected to display 1 via DP and connected to display 2 via HDMI. The audio normally works but I've noticed for some reason it just goes away and eventually comes back. However, it never cuts out as it's working. For instance today I was on youtube, the video played fine, clicked another video and no audio at all. I can ALWAYS use my blu tooth headphones and get audio which made me think it was a problem with both cables (unlikely as the chance of 2 cables failing at the same time is low). I tried different cables and tried unplugging them and putting them back in, nothing. Tried restarting my pc and nothing. Tried unplugging the PC and nothing. I went into my audio settings on the nvidia control panel as well as my audio settings on windows 10, nothing. Tried reinstalling my GPU drivers, nothing. Tried doing a clean install of the drivers, nothing. To be clear it's not a browser problem, firefox, tor and edge all do not play audio, neither do any applications. Anyone have ANY ideas? I doubt it's a hardware problem but I can't find out whats wrong with the software.
  10. Thanks but I'm not rich, I've been saving for years, I wanted to build a pc since I was a sophomore in High School and have been saving up all birthday, holiday, and graduation money until I had enough to build this monster.
  11. Fixed: I unplugged my monitor and plugged it back in, at first no audio but a notification to enable gsync appeared so I opened the nvidia control panel and set it, pressed applied and it worked.
  12. One does but my headphones are wireless and I don't have any with wires. Would going to the store and buying some cheap $2 headphones be worth to test it out?
  13. Yeah I've tried both monitors which has their name and "(Nvidia High Definition Audio)" and Digital Audio (S/PDIF) (2- High Definition Audio Devices) and none of them work
  14. Yup, have them turned up to max volume as well But my blutooth headphones do get sound. Weird.
  15. Thanks, and if it makes you feel better I've had every problem you can imagine. My first time turning on the pump a tube popped out and sprayed everything. I had a ton of different leaks. The VRM block on my first mobo was pouring out water (got the second for free and got to hold on to the first). The fitting on the top of the vrm required silicone adhesive because it wouldn't sit flush against the block and since the tubes were thermaltake and some fittings bitspower the tubes were too big and I had to sand some parts down. If you avoid half of these issues it really isn't too bad, I imagine soft tubing would be easier too.
