IAmAFutureMarine's Achievements

  1. Good luck to everyone, hope I win. Thanks for the opportunity.
  2. Hello my name is Mitchell. I would use this to have my first Intel build so then I would have a AMD and Intel build at both of my houses. I appreciate the opportunity.
  3. I found LTT by literally trying to figure out about computers. I've gotten a lot smarter and I actually built my first computer with my knowledge learned from your videos, it allowed me to find my favorite hobby. I've already taken 7 computer classes now because I love it so much. I'm going to college and military for Computer Engineering. My knowledge has also helped me fix and save a couple of my family members A LOT of money because they were going to trash the computers. I love the Fast as Possible series, gives me a brief introduction to things I don't know about and sometimes when it interests me, I spend my time researching and learning more about it. My favorite food is Stouffer's Mac and Cheese. Thank you Linus, Luke, and the rest of the crew who do all the video editing and recording. I hope to meet you guys one day, I hope to see us hit 2 million by the end of next year or even sooner.
  4. Nope, not really, was just excited to get it all together.
  5. Hello! My name is Mitchell.I'm 16 and this is my first build! The name "Thee Phantom" is just a cheesy name I took from the case(being the NZXT Phantom). I'm very new to building computers so I don't doubt I didn't make the best decisions with my build but it's my first so don't be too harsh! I don't know too much about specific parts, I just got what I thought was decent. After 7 months of working around my neighborhood, I raised $900 to put towards my computer, the last $247 was from Christmas! Do not have a good place for my computer, currently, I just have a small piece of wood to keep it off of the card. Looking for a solution. Part List: CPU: AMD A8-3850 2.9GHz Quad-Core Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-A75-D3H Memory: PNY 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Storage: Seagate 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Hybrid Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 660 2GB Wireless Network Adapter: Rosewill RNX-N180UBE Case: NZXT Phantom (White) ATX Full Tower Power Supply: EVGA 750W Optical Drive: Asus DVD-E818AAT Operating System: Windows 7 Professional SP1 Monitor: Acer S241HL 24" x 2 Mouse: Razer DeathAdder
  6. I'm fairly new to the computer world, just want to make sure I keep all my stuff up to date.
  7. I have that, that always helps me with my video card, but I mean for like everything. Would just going to each manufacturer's wesbites for the drivers be my best bet?
  8. Alright, quick question. I want to keep up with my drivers and all the updates, what's the best way to keep up with all of my hardware and software easily? I have Slim Drivers, but when i do some of the downloads, stuff doesn't work sometimes. Any suggestions?
  9. I'm not going to buy a new video card, I'm just going to work for the cpu/motherboard/ram, i'm not upgrading my video card until I come back from the military because i leave in 2 years.
  10. Hello LTT, I rushed into my first build being very excited about my first build and realized now that I got terrible CPU and RAM. So i'm going to just replace my motherboard, CPU, and RAM all together. If someone could give me a suggestion,i'd greatly appreciate it. Now for the CPU, I don't know whether to go Intel or AMD, I mostly am just browsing the web, but I do some gaming. I don't want top of the line, but I want like mid range to maybe a little better than in the middle. I want to stay under $1000 though.
