  1. Thanks, will definitely be getting one soon then. Edit: Just looked at the listing and it doesn't exactly seem cheap. Might just be a scam listing but I would be more careful giving out links to listings if I were you.
  2. Nevermind then, will have to stick with black and white until I can find a replacement adapter. Thanks for clarifying this though.
  3. The thing is, I didn't get an adapter when I bought the TV (second hand), and it said online that it should work this way anyway.
  4. The Green one is the one labeled Y. As for the input settings, I already know to do that, I just can't find it in the input settings.
  5. Hi there, recently I decided to move my Nintendo Wii downstairs to the bigger TV. This TV is a Finlux 55UT3E242S-T. Instead of having the classic Red, White and Yellow connectors, this TV has the Red and White audio inputs alongside 3 other inputs (Red, Blue and Green) labeled Y, Pb and Pr. I have managed to get a black and white image displayed by plugging the Yellow component cable into the Green port, however that is it. I took a look at Nintendo's official guide on this and it said: If you're only finding the image in black and white, you may need to switch the setting of the input select from a component signal to a standard AV signal. This can be done by An on screen menu option. This is often accessed by using the "Menu" button on the remote. A button on the remote that switches between the standard and component signals. These can be labeled such things as "AV" or "Video." When I go into the menu on my TV, I simply can not find this option, and looking at the online manual there is no button for this function on the remote. Thank you for taking your time to read this, and I hope you can help.
  6. Thanks, the cpu isn't the best but I can cope with that. The ram is definitely due an upgrade so thanks for the help
  7. Hi there. A few months ago, I bought a HP Pavillion 15 (2014 Model) for £40 second hand. There are quite a lot of issues but all of which I have the solution to, however I was wondering about the possibility of upgrading the laptop. I know that things like All-In-One PCs and Laptops aren't really designed with this in mind, but surely it is still possible. I was hoping to do a RAM upgrade and maybe a CPU upgrade (depends on if it is a socketed CPU rather than BGA). The exact model of the laptop is 'HP Pavillion 15-n270sa'. Thanks for taking your time to read this. Edit: More specifically, I was wondering what the limitations are if I was going to upgrade it
  8. Mousepad running fine when booting Linux from USB, so at least I know the problem. Thanks for the help.
  9. Thanks for the idea, will tell you how the test goes.
  10. I recently bought a HP Pavilion 15-N270SA for £40 due to an issue with the tracking of the mousepad and USB mice. Whenever the mouse (whether it is a USB mouse or the built in trackpad) is moved, it stutters every few seconds. This is not a screen issue, as I have tested video playback while moving the mouse and even while the mouse is stuttering playback is unaffected. One thing to note is that while this laptop was originally on Windows 8, it was upgraded to Windows 7 shortly after the original owner bought it. They then paid a computer repair shop (I know, scam alert) to install all the necessary drivers. Shortly after buying it I did do all the Windows 7 updates, as well as delete the mouse drivers installed by the repair shop, and install the mouse and trackpad drivers provided by HP, but I still have the issue. Thank you for your time, and I appreciate any help.
  11. Sadly I didn't get the PC, but I would like to thank you all for your help anyway!
  12. It's a second hand build, and I won't have the time to do that when I collect the build. Thanks anyway though
  13. It's collection only, so I have to go and get it, but as soon as I get it home I will drain the loop and fill it with some air overnight to see if any air pressure is lost.
  14. It's not a custom loop (to my knowledge anyway) but instead I think it came with the PC as it is an Alienware.
  15. Thanks, it's not a long journey so it should be fine then. Bidding ends in 3 days anyway, wish me luck.
