  1. LTT loves to do things in house and grow their business to be very independent so I wouldn't be surprised if they partner with MegaPro for the initial launch, they might branch off and go to some offshore company and still some how get high quality parts. I mean they did it with their merch, in the beginning they used a third party company but went more independent and now talks to the manufactures themselves. Just look out for when Linus disappears for a while and goes to china to check out some factories for the screwdriver.
  2. It's the same wire for tv. So I need to have tv cables to translate the signal to ethernet, then transfer the ethernet to a router.
  3. I was turning in some cable boxes that I no longer use to save money, first thing they did was try to sell me a phone, then tell me that I need a special optimum modem for gigabit that would cost around $200 plus monthly maintenance fees of $10 a month. I was like na, I'll just do it myself lol
  4. Sorry, it's not cat in, they said coaxial, so modem for coaxial to copper ethernet, then ethernet to my router
  5. Well yes, but according to optimum I can do gigabit without fiber 940 down 50 up
  6. I have 300 but upgrading to gigabit in the next few days and I'm done paying $10 a month to rent a modem
  7. I've been looking for a VERY cheap Coaxial Gigabit Modem that doesn't have a router for about 3 hours now lmao. I have a Nighthawk X4S Router which can do Gigabit but I need to upgrade my modem. I've been looking and I cant find one cheap. I don't need name brand or one that looks nice. Anyone have any ideas or modems?
  8. ok... okay.... I'll get an ssd. lmao. Also a new Graphics card
  9. My friend and I put a computer together with used parts and we feel like there is a component holding it back. We believe it is the CPU. 10. @F.E.A.R.I sorta merged both builds and came up with this, A LOT cheaper than both of ours and I think it will be an awesome computer. I am still up for changes if anyone has anything to recommend. My dad wont be installing anything that large so the 1tb m.2 will do just fine I believe. 11. @F.E.A.R.You need to send the link at top left of the webpage, for my build it is https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GZyhxG, you just put pcpartpick.com/list/ which reads your cookies for the last build that you made
  12. Budget (including currency): Trying to get it down to $800 or less, willing to go up to $1000 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Internet Browsing, Light workloads, 20 google tabs open at once lol, 4k Live streaming movies/video, small games Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): PARTS LIST: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NRNxQq I am planning on buying my Dad a new PC, his right now is a Dell Windows 7 All-in-one with I think 4 gb of ram. I am planning on having a 1440p or 4k monitor with above 60 hz and lower than 144. I am trying to lower the price as much as I can (Trying to get down to the $800), but if I have to I can go up to $1000. I would like so recommendations on the parts list I have put together, other parts that would be cheaper and better, and I am willing to ask any questions.
