  1. No dust filters, it is an open-air case. Sorry for such a late reply; I was at a weekend rock festival.
  2. Is a fan with 2.2 mm/H2O enough for a push configuration on a 60mm thick rad? Or do I need push/pull? Or something closer to 2.5/3.0mm H2O?
  3. This may be a dumb/simple question, but I'm planning on building a PC for gaming/workstation that will last me a long time. I'm looking at using an i9-7900X and a GTX 1080 TI. Would a 60mm thick, 360mm long radiator be enough to keep the components cool? Or do I need more? Thanks!
  4. So I'm looking to get the Meshify C to upgrade my PC, and I'm actually not a fan of PSU shrouds (I like seeing everything out in the open). Can anyone confirm if the ENTIRE shroud can be removed, or just that flap where the fan/rad goes in the front? Thank you!
  5. I am looking to use the GIGABYTE AB350M-DS3H for a friends build. However, I am having trouble finding compatible memory as the QVL on Gigabyte's page has very slim pickings, and every RAM maker I've checked doesn't seem to have this board listed, let alone AM4 chipsets. If anyone could help me find a DDR4-2666 4GBx2 kit, that would super helpful! Brand of the RAM doesn't matter as long as it works! Thanks!
  6. Nope, you should be fine with that combination.
  7. Does anyone know if the most recent version of HWMonitor accurately reports Ryzen (1-series) readings? I've heard that it doesn't, heard that it should, and heard to just use Ryzen Master, but I would like to use HWMonitor to monitor other things as well. If anyone can let me know, that would be greatly appreciated!
  8. I have fairly large hands myself (8" from base of palm to tip of middle finger) and I find comfort using my SteelSeries Rival 300/301. I've also head the Zowie EC1-A is quite nice. The Belkin WaveRest Gel Mouse Pad is pretty highly rated, and it's cheap so you don't have to worry about wasted money should you decide to upgrade in the future!
  9. i3-4350 GTX 750 TI 8GB DDR3 1600 RAM I upgraded to a SSD/HDD pairing not too long ago so I'll save that. And a 450W PSU. As for games, just about everything from shooters to browser games to racing games. Budget is $1200
  10. It's time to upgrade from my i3-4350/GTX 750 TI build. I want a CPU that can handle gaming as well has high-quality/bitrate 1080p/60fps recording via OBS. I'm not really into streaming or getting into YouTube full-time, so there's no reason to get too crazy for future proofing. Just something to post highlight compilations to YouTube now and then. I was thinking along the lines of R5 1600, Ryzen 7 family, or the Coffee Lake i7 family. Thank you!
  11. Soooo IDK if this is the right thread for this (this or the OS one), but I'll take a shot. I have an old Pentium 4 2.8Ghz single-core processor (PPGA478) from my parent's old Dell Dimension 4300. I was wondering if it's possible to find a compatible motherboard, graphics card, and RAM to use with a lighter version of Linux in order to use it as just a small web browsing, video watching computer. Any input is greatly appreciated!
  12. 1600X, I apologize
  13. I'm sorry if this has been asked a thousand times, but I'm building a new PC to replace my budget i3-4150 build. I'm doing a Ryzen build, and my case can have a max CPU cooler of 160mm. I've heard good things about the Cryorig H7, but I keep hearing that it's terrible for Ryzen, especially when OC'ing. Can anyone confirm this (or give a better suggestion on what air cooler to use)? Thank you!
  14. Pretty noob question here, but I'm graduating college in less than a month, and will be building a new PC for when I live in my new apartment. My mother would like to use the laptop I've used throughout college for herself since she hates sitting in my dad's small office. I would be factory resetting the laptop so it's nice and fresh for her with none of my stuff in the way, but I upgraded free from 8.1 to 10 back during that opening. If I factory reset, does it go back to 8.1 or will I be able to keep Windows 10 for her? Thank you!
