I've done that, but I found no solution to my issue. Because now it's seen as gtx 550 ti, but my screen goes black when trying to install the driver or scanning for changes in device manager.

I know it's not gonna perform better than a 550 Ti, but in this stage is not even performing as good as a 550 ti. All I want is just to work properly as 550 ti Exactly.

Will perform better if I install the 550 ti driver, and I cannot install it without reflashing to 550 ti bios

To be more clear. I wasn't scammed. I knew what I was buying so the point what getting a free gtx 550 ti for a project. So when I said I reflashed the proper bios I meant the gtx 550 ti bios.

Hello guys, I bought from ebay a gpu that was describded as a gtx 750 ti, but in fact was a gtx 550 ti. Now, I tried to flash to the proper bios using the CH341A programmer and this stuff. The bios chip was the one below. (MX25L512) My problem is, that after I reflashed the bios when I try to install the driver, when I go to device manager and scan for changes my screen goes black and I cannot do anything but shutting down/restarting the computer so my gpu is unusable. What I need to mention is that before finding the proper bios chip on the cpu, I connected that programmer clip to the below chip (EM 5103) and I did some modifications there, so that could be the problem. So what do you think? Is that the issue? If yes, what can I do about it? If not, what else could be the problem? Thank you very much in advance.

Hello guys, I have the following problem with a project that I have out of an old system. My cpu, even if it's a Sempron 2400+, it is shown as Athlon XP 1500+ because the FSB cannot be changed. When I change it from the motherboard to 100 MHz it works just fine and is shown as Athlon XP 1000, everything works fine also when I set it to 133 MHz (-> Athlon XP 1500+), but doesn't work with 166 MHz even if the motherboard says it is supported. Also, it cannot be changed in the BIOS (I have the latest version) to 166, only to 100 & 133 MHz. PC Specs: Motherboard: Asus A7S8X-MX socket A 462 CPU: AMD Sempron 2400+ RAM: 2 x 1 GB DDR 333 MHz Video card: Asus A9250 128 MB OS: Windows XP Pro SP3 32 bit PSU: Premier LC-8500-BTX 500W Bios: 1007
