  1. Ok Thanks ill look into disabling xfire when I get back to my pc. If for some reason that doesn't work ill just get one monitor for the time being and wait for the hopefully soon drop in gfx card prices. Thanks for the help
  2. Looks like ill have to do a bit more digging. The funny thing is there appears to be an "enable/disable" crossfire toggle somewhere in the radeon control panel but ill be dammed if i can find it. Its not even in the additional settings panel. I might try use my integrated Display port out and see if that can do 4K @ 60hz. only thing is i'm not keen to buy 2 of these monitors only to discover some weird incompatibility.
  3. Ok so can I somehow enable the display outputs to my second radeon card?
  4. Hi all I have a quick-ish question about setting up 4k monitors I have just built myself an almost brand new system. I7-8700k Asus z370 prime a MOBO 64GB DDR4 RAM dual samsung evo 960 256gb NVMe SSD drives + several 3tb HDDS 750 Watt PSU Win 10 pro Linux Mint x64 2x not so new but fully functional Radeon R290 Graphics cards (They were free and this allowed me to put more money elsewhere in my system, will upgrade graphics card(s) when they come down in price) I am Just about to purchase 2x LG - 27UD88-W 4k monitors I do a fair bit of photo editing and these seem like the sweet spot for that ( here in NZ anyways) I do not do a lot of gaming and will probably just switch to my current 1080p monitors if i need to game. My current graphics cards are running in crossfire mode The big question is can I some how rig up the 2 monitors in a way so I get 4k @ 60HZ using the 2 display ports available to me (1 per R290 Graphics card)? As it stands I cant use any of the display outputs on my second card. Is there a way i can get the second Display Port to work so i have 60 hz on both monitors. I am reluctant to drop a bunch of $ on a second 4k display only to have it capped at 30 hz ( The HDMI and DVI outputs on the r290s only support 4k 30 HZ) https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/MONLGL52788/LG-27UD88-W-27-UHD-4K-IPS-LED-Monitor-100mx100m-VE any input or other solutions would be great!!
