  1. Oh wow really? I assumed that it was a good thermal paste, never did much research just probably heard someone say it in a video at one point. I'll definitely try MX-4 and hopefully that'll do the trick - seems like it will though. Cheers That's what i was thinking, and from a reputable brand as well. (As far as I'm aware anyway)
  2. As this issue has been going on for a few months at this point I have installed multiple drivers if and when they get released. Prior to the issue I didn't mess with the fan curve at all. Since having this issue I have set a custom fan curve but the fans still just ramp up, it overrides it.
  3. So I have a Asus ROG Strix RTX 2080ti which is like 3 years old at this point and randomly a few months ago the fans started ramping up to max RPM when the temp reached a given threshold, 74°C, every few seconds or so. After changing the thermal paste the issue went away and the card was reaching like 76°C max without any fan issues, however this only lasted a few weeks and then the same issue arose again. I have changed the paste probably like 4 times at this point as well as changed the thermal pads once, given it's a 3 year old card probably should have been done a lot sooner. I put a dollop of paste the first few times then decided to manually spread to ensure that it covers the entire surface. But nothing seems to work. The fans have started ramping up again every few seconds after being completely fine for weeks. I have no idea what to do now. Any suggestions?
  4. Max i've seen the temps are about 76°C. Happens when the temp reaches a certain number, but from what i can tell that certain number changes. This seems to override custom fans curves as well. Any help is much appreciate. Let me know if there's any more information you need to know (probably missed off something obvious) PC Specs: Coffee Lake i7 8700k @3.7ghz ASUS ROG Strix RTX 2080Ti OC Edition 11gb Cooler Master Hyper 212X Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8gb 3000MHz MSI z370-A PRO Corsair TX650M Toshiba 1tb Seagate Barracuda 2tb Samsung 970 EVO SSD 500gb Phantek Enthoo Pro M Case
  5. I want to upgrade my current monitor to a 4k 144hz display. Budget-ish.
  6. That's basically all its going to be used for, just want to see if anyone has any recommendations. As it is only going to be using for internet browsing and Word the budget is as cheap as possible.
  7. So with the Xbox streaming app you can stream Xbox games from an Xbox console to an Android device but i want to know if you can do the same thing from a PC. For example, I play Forza Horizon 4 on my PC and i want to then stream it to my Tablet. This is possible to do FROM a console but is it possible to do FROM a PC.
  8. There's a game that i play and when you minimise said game it gets sent to the system tray so is there a way to assign a hotkey to then open up that game again from the system tray?
  9. I dont want to tint it, want a solid opaque panel to go on the side instead.
  10. Because I leave my PC on overnight a lot and the lights are too bright. Specifically the one on an RTX 2080ti, doesnt seem to be a way of turning it off sadly. Plus I have no RGB in my PC and it's under my desk so I'm not bothered about showing it off.
  11. I just meant the stock side panel, dunno why I said fibreglass.
  12. I have a Phantek Enthoo Pro M with a fibreglass side panel and I am looking for an opaque version of said side panel. Is this something case manufacturers usually make?
  13. I just switch between fullscreen modes quite often so it'd make things easier.
  14. In all my time playing a game where there is a hotkey to do so, NEVER have I accidentally pressed it. I tab out of games very often to change the video etc and I want to play in fullscreen as i have a 144hz monitor.
  15. No idea why having "F11" as a fullscreen toggle isnt standard in any game but hey...
  16. Overall, what makes anything usable when it comes to touchscreen?
  17. I already mentioned in my original post. I have an RTX 2080ti and on them they have 2 bright white LEDs that are on all the time even if the pc is off. The only way to turn them off is to switch off your power supply or at the mains. A bunch of people have suggested that i cover it in electrical tape - so i did.
  18. Glue can melt right? The gpu gets hot and could melt it? Or am i being dumb. Lol
  19. Ok thank you for the help appreciate it. I might just put some electrical tape in between the acrylic panel and the case itself.
  20. My pc keeps making an annoying buzzing noise, and it is definitely the acrylic panel as when i push it it stops. I believe it has been slightly warped and that's why it's buzzing. And i didnt want that to happen again if i got a replacement acrylic panel.
