It can boot into bios and windows both. I do get that F1 temp error, but it will still boot up. Iv checked in bios it shows cpu over heating. Is there a way to start as if it’s day 1 Incase Iv made some change that’s not working? Prob not the issue though. Should I try paste or just remove aio all together and replace or is there some trick to get the pump going. I’m guessing it’s the pump failing causing it to over heat. Iv checked make sure it’s not loose on the cpu/bracket Iv turned radiator fans into radiator to push more air . I plugged aio 3 pin into EXT_FAN it’s also 3 pin. It’s where I had it since day 1 so who knows if it has ever worked or not . I didn’t know if aio needs a driver or something to make it start pumping. How do you check if it’s a sensor?

How do I know? Where should that 3 pin cable plug in? Only place with 3 pin is something called cpu ext I think it is on bottom of the board

I have, I have taken out everything except the aio because I don’t have thermal paste. I’m concerned that since I didn’t have the fans plugged in properly that maybe the pump isn’t plugged in right. I like to think that than it being bad or something. It’s just weird. Only thing happened was plugged hdd in and it instantly went off and over heated and now it won’t stop

I have a rog Maximus X hero WiFi motherboard and a Aorus gtx1080ti, I7-8700k I just built this PC less than a week ago. I bought an Hv100i v2 to put on the cpu and thought I had it hooked up correctly because all was working nicely all week long. I was getting low cpu temps at idle 20s-30s I believe. Anyway, all was great until tonight. I put in a 2TB had I had in my old computer for extra storage. I turned computer back on and it let me boot up and I could see the drive in bios, but once I booted up into windows I got an error saying it was over heating and cpu was pushing 80s - 90s. I turned PC off and disconnected both hdds and the SATA cables connected to board. PC still over heating. Long story short my PC over heats every time I turn it on now. Could that hdd have. Messed up my aio? I did notice as well I had the fans in the radiator connected to fan headers on board they were spinning just not picking up in ai suite. I didn’t realize they plugged into those built in headers on aio. My fans pick up now, but the pump rpm is still 0. I’m not even sure it’s connected right. It’s a 3 pin connector and I have it on MB on a 4 pin called AIO PUMP. I’m a little pissed because Iv sent thousands building this thing and got almost a full week out of it before tonight’s mishap. What do I do?
