  1. I was leaning towards the Samsung Q70T as well but I will take a look at that LG thanks. I will be running a Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 XT
  2. Yeah I have seen that one and its 1900.00 at 65" but only 1300.00 for the 55" and it's a really good tv. Linus actually did a video on it and I think still has it set up in his house. I may end up spending a bit more for that tv.
  3. That is correct, I should have specified sorry.
  4. I use it in my living room and sit a fair distance away so I need it to be larger.
  5. I use my tv as my monitor for my pc and currently have a 55" tv. I just built a new pc and wanted to upgrade my current tv that I purchased in 2013. I have a budget of 1000 usd. I would like to get 120hz but at that price i understand I am asking for champagne on a beer budget. What would you recommend I purchase? Thanks for the input!
  6. I have tried that and have not changed anything from my previous build. I unhooked my old system and hooked my new system up the exact same way. I don't get it! Another thought. If I were to just use an hdmi cable from my video card to my receiver would it transmit the video and audio? I am 99% sure I already know the answer to this but thought I would ask...
  7. I just built a new computer and got a motherboard that had an optical port built into the board. I had my old system hooked up to my a/v receiver and it worked fine. After hooking up my new receiver I can't get 5.1 to work on my a/v receiver. It's only sending a stereo signal. I then hooked up a Xonar GDX and tried the same thing. I can go to the sound settings and configure the system for 5.1 and apply it but it still only sends a stereo signal. I have also updated drivers for the Xonar card. Can anyone help figure out what I'm doing wrong. It's got to be one of those obvious but I have been looking at it for so long I'm getting tunnel vision!
  8. What are your thoughts on this card? Seems like a good deal to me but my knowledge is limited. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/WGLwrH/sapphire-radeon-rx-5700-xt-8-gb-nitro-video-card-11293-03-40g
  9. Do you think it would be worth going to the RTX 2080 for the additional price? How do you think it will diminish performance?
  10. This will be the second computer I have built. My first one is 7 years old and I have been limping in along for as long as I can and need to upgrade. I plan on using this for gaming but I also use it as a media center pc in m living room hooked up to my tv. My current tv is only 1080p but I do plan on upgrading in the near future. Like I said it will also be used as a plex server and I will be using hard drives from my old system for additional storage. I game but I don't need everything maxed out on graphics but I do want to future proof a bit. That's why I went with the graphics card in the build. One thing that is important is sound quality. I want a MOBO that has an optical output so I can hook to my AV receiver. But if there is a better option I am not aware of please let me know. I want to keep the budget below $1800.00 usd.
