What's the chepaest CPU I can get to use with the B350 motherboard to get the BIOS updated? I'm thinking I could just buy it myself if it's cheap and save time? thanks

What are the odds of the motherboard coming up to date? If I can't guarantee it coming up to date I might switch to intel. Any idea for parts? I'm not too sure with intel...

I think I'll end up taking the "risk" with the motherboard and hoping it's up to date. Does anyone know about a way to make sure it's updated? Mu budget is £500 including software, mainly for work & office use. Would it be worth trying out intel? Thanks again

Thank god I posted! I thought it would have an integrated graphics card! So I've put in the Ryzen 3 2200G instead because it won't be used for any gaming or even much HD streaming (just for work). Now there seems to be a compatibility issue with the motherboard because of the newer model CPU. Some AMD B350 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Raven Ridge CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions. I don't think it's possible to upgrade the motherboards BIOS without a CPU is it? So what would I need to do for that then?

Hi, The PC parts are https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GMG4q4 and i think it should all work. My main concern is will the wireless keyboard and mouse work when setting up the bios and booting from the windows USB? Also what about drivers? How should I get them installed as there's no dvd drive. Would I need to download them onto a separate USB from a different computer and install them once windows is installed? But can I install windows from the USB without the drivers installed? Will I need to install the drivers before I can hear sound and also have internet access through the ethernet port? Thanks
