  1. I just bought an msi gf63 which has a 1tb hdd but an open m2 slot according to specifications, i have never m2 ssd into a laptop before, what kind of ssd do i need to buy? is the length same in all m2s? will this fit in the slot? i am considering it seeing the price is really good: https://www.newegg.com/global/tr-en/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16820326190
  2. basically the xeon is lga 771 but they are modified to be usable on lga 775 as far as i know, so I was wondering if I need to modify the bios as well. e.g theres the X3440 which is originally for lga 771 socketed motherboards. heres a link : https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Inte-l-Xeon-X5472-Processor-3-0GHz-12MB-1600MHz-equal-to-LGA775-Core-2-Quad-Q9650/32567730755.html?spm=a2g0s.13010208.99999999.260.52c33c00jjfBGW just casual pc usage, but to guarantee it would have a few years of lifetime instead of just a year or two. I thought it would be a cheaper path since the xeons go for around 10$ each on aliexpress.
  3. I am trying to get a normal cheap pc built for a colleague of mine and I found out about the cheap 10$ xeon cpus. my question is: 1. since these cpus are modified to fit in lga 775, 1366, etc will the motherboards support them? or do i need to change bios? if i have to change bios whats the best way to do it? 2. does 1600 mhz have significant performance difference compared to 1333 mhz? 3. are there any other good alternatives to the xeon? around the same price but easier to build thanks for any tips and sugguestions
  4. nice thats a lead, thank you for the info maybe i can search for it in a better way now
  5. i asked thermaltake but they just ignored me lol, been trying for 2 months now while using stock cooler on my i5 8400. so I am wondering if anyone has seen a pair on ebay, amazon or anywhere else
  6. hey guys, I just removed a thermal take cooler from my old lga 775 system and build lga 1151 system but the cooler wont fit in my new b360m motherboard. is there a way I can get a bracket for lga 115x system? idk the model for this cooler but i am gonna upload some images of it maybe someone will have an idea
  7. the cooler I used on my old system on the cpu has 2 controls for both fans, there are some controls on the back of the case I never used not sure what they are maybe they are the fan controls I will give them a try after putting up the parts
  8. thanks guys, yeah maybe I will do that. I remember my fan having 2 small rotating buttons labelled High, Low as its a dual sided fan
  9. alright thanks, one more thing. I don't like my current case it has 4x fans and makes noise. If I swap it out in the future with a no fan case will it still be ok to use the stock fan?
  10. I just got my new parts I ordered i5 8400, asrock b360 pro4, gskill 2400 mhz ram, 750W psu no gpu yet i will use the internal gpu for now till i can afford a good one. then I remembered that I did not buy a cooler. is stock fan good enough or should I buy a cooler? I will probably be playing few games on the pc like league, hearthstone and some rpg like final fantasy etc. on a casual basis and also do some light web development my case has 2 front fans, 1 on top, 1 on the back if that matters. I have a cooler from my old pc but it makes alot of noise so I prefer not to use it
  11. i am not sure he said something about lab work, it has an i7 903 or was it 930 along with 775 psu and whole lot of fans
  12. one of my friends was throwing away his old pc so I just took it from him, the pc had 4x geforce 210 gpu in it. Are these gpus still any good? Can it still run league of legends, WoW and similar games? I was planning to build a super cheap pc for my little brother who spams LoL and WoW. What if I use all of them on the same mobo? I am not an expert last time I bought a gpu was when I was a teenager and pentium 3 was the latest cpu
  13. eh I just missed it, it sold out lol bad luck i guess will just go with the 2666 as its on the support RAM list, thank you though
  14. I checked the list and it was really short, the maximum bandiwth module on that list was 2666 MHz https://www.asrock.com/MB/Intel/B360M Pro4/index.asp#Memory
  15. I am building a new PC I already bought asrock b360m pro4 mobo with i5 8400 cpu P.S: is this a good combo?the mobo details says upto 2666 MHz RAM but my question is can I buy higher than that and still use it? I have found a deal where the 3200 MHz is cheaper than 2666 MHz both of them are CL15the RAM is on sale and only 1 pack of 2x8gb is left in stock so I am in a rush if anyone can let me know fasterthanks
