  1. 20+ minutes and nothing to report honestly no clue what could be causing this
  2. First thing I did was thoroughly cleaning the whole thing and repasting it while I was in there... No help. Also the fans spin fine... They're loud and they move a lot of air as they should, no problem there I'll try the safe mode and see, but it's super random so I don't have any guarantee it will happen within a reasonable timeframe
  3. Hello! Recently my poor laptop has been going through all sorts of trouble. My battery is dead so it's now only power from the wall and now this: When this happens the laptop is completely unresponsive until rebooted. Then works fine until it randomly decides to do this again. Please tell me it's just some driver mismatch or something, I really can't afford to build a new PC right now... Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I should add, the GPU is a 1060 6g and the temps seem fine considering it's a laptop. They usually don't go too far over 80 under stress. Also the EventViewer offers no help at all only telling me the PC restarted unexpectedly. Thanks
  4. no-ip has a free teir, but you have to keep changing the name every month if you want it to stay free I might look into it, but I really didn't want to pay for this, guess I can sacrifice a few euros though
  5. alright, well looks like I can't just get around this. I really wanted this to be as cheap as possible. Guess I can do without the comfort of the domain adress. Thank you though
  6. is there now way I could host my own public domain?
  7. Hi, I'm currently trying to host my own little Minecraft server from a repurposed PC I had gathering dust in my closet. I've managed to get it up and running fairly smoothly on my own network, but my friends need to connect to it using my public IP address and I don't really like that. I've setup a domain on the server, running Windows server 2019 btw, but I am unable to get it to work. I'm really not too skilled when it comes to networking, but I've even managed to setup a DNS and entries pointing to the server IP which is set to static (192.168.1.254). When I run nslookup it gives me all the right information Is there a way and if so, what is it that I'm not seeing? I'd really appreciate it, since I don't really like having my public IP on display like this. It also changes dynamically since static public IPs are pretty pricy where I live. Thanks
  8. I have it set to 1000 and that would mean that it would either work, or have low polling rate.
  9. When I plug my G502 Hero into a usb 3.1 or 3.0 slot the mouse doesn't get picked up by Windows. I have to use a type-C to type-A adapter or my keyboards built in hub. What gives?
  10. alright fixed all I had to do was uninstall the wrong driver that probably conflicted with the actual one I feel like a total idiot, but I managed to fix this
  11. no water damage yeah they have 24hrs to respond, this one is instant
  12. Hi, So I'm facing this issue where my mic won't record any sound. It shows up in the device manager, but when I speak the green lines don't show that I am. It could be a driver issue, but I've already downloaded the latest drivers for my laptop (rog strix scar 2). Next possible cause could be this. I've been having a different issue with audio. The speakers would randomly stop playing sound so I had to go to the realtek sound console and reset the format. That would fix it for a while. Usually after clicking another youtube video it would malfunction again. So I decided to update my drivers, but I was being an idiot and downloaded some different ones... Not the ones from asus. They didn't sound quite right so I realised I probably should download the og ones. I did and restarted. After that the mic just wouldn't work. I'm sorry that it's super long, but I need my mic back really bad
  13. Is there a difference in Price/Performance or they're just generally better? And the SSD is there to stay, I don't think I need more then 250GB....
  14. I don't think I want to pay >200€ for a Motherboard, but the Z370-A seems like a good choice over the Z370-P
  15. Hi, I've been prepping to build a PC for gaming and general use (Internet, video/photo editing) and I've finally gathered enough money to be able to afford a decent rig. As you can probably tell, I've never built a PC from scratch before, but I've done many simple fixes to my sisters and friends PCs over the years. So I kinda know a little bit about it at least. Anyway this is the setup I've assembled: CPU: Intel Core i7 - 8700K MB: ASUS PRIME Z370-P Cooler: SilentiumPC Navis PRO 240 AiO GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Ti ARMOR 8G Memory: HyperX Fury Black 16GB kit (2x8GB), 2666 Mhz, DDR4 SSD: Samsung 960 EVO 250GB HDD: WD Black 2TB PSU: EVGA 750BQ # I was thinking SuperNova, but they seem too expensive for what they offer. Change my mind? Case: NZXT S340 Elite Adds up to ~1862,60€, w/o tax ~1552€ Link to build on Alza (the place I'll be buying from): https://www.alza.sk/nakupni-seznamy.htm?sharelist=766568716D6D697B2 Suggestions are welcome. Please check for any compatibility issues that may occur, I really don't want to buy a 1600€ paperweight. Thanks
