  1. That's also what im thinking since 780 is the older card... that's the only difference in my setup. I have a defective dvid to dvid cable, though the display is garbage, it displays 1440p.. I thought hdmi is supported though - check at the bottom of the page.. http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-780/specifications
  2. Sapphire Nitro R7 360 Single fan Now I have my Inno3d Herculez 780
  3. DVI-dual link to the monitor and HDMI at the GPU end.. I was using the same cable from when I have my R7 360.. So I am wondering why it is not working now..
  4. Hi, I just wanted to ask. I can't make my Dell U2713HM display 1440p.. I was using DVI-D monitor to HDMI R7 360 before and it worked. Maybe about 4 months ago. Now I have Inno3d Herculez 780. And I can only make it up to 1080p max. Why can't it have a 1440p display now? I tride GPU scaling on NVIDIA control panel, still the same. Customed reso to 1440p, its crap. Used DDU to flash ATI drivers. Still the same. Any inputs?
  5. Yup, I am installing Windows 7 and 8.1 using dvd. Neither does work. What do you mean about Debian's netinstall? I have a 4gb stick, but my ISOs will not fit as they are both 3.8gb+
  6. no stick is attached. Only usb mouse and keyboard. on board vga. Well. the last thing I could test is to boot on usb. But I don't have a spare. I might need to buy one as it exceeds my 4gb usb sticks. So maybe there are some solutions before I spend on things I wont really use
  7. Yes to both. the CD and odd that I used is the same to this pc that I am using now. So I now its working. I also tested it again here in my pc and they were readable. Also tried to set odd and hdd as first prio, same error I get. Changed sata cables to. Same.
  8. Hi, can I have a little help? I am getting "Reboot and Select proper Boot device" error while installing new windows. My cd rom is ok. hdd is ok. sata is ok. windows cd is ok. I dunno if mobo is ok, but when I go to bios, it detects the hdd and the odd. This dictates that the sata is ok. So what is the problem?
  9. don't have that kind of usb. Hopefully its just the ram. Its fairly cheap compared to other parts. Although I have 3 pcs of those, 2 of them I think is ok. Or do you mean all of them are busted? I just dont know why it stops and crashes on starting windows screen
  10. Emaxx: EMX-MCP61M2-iCafe AMD Phenom X3 - Tricore No GPU HDD - Seagate Hi, I having trouble with PC1, it won't start to boot. I am going to explain the problems from first day up till now. First off, dad said PC1 froze, and had to restart it. The problem was, it does not continue to boot. It shuts down after 3-5 seconds. - So I thought I just had to reseat the cooler, ram, clean those dust. It was arguably fixed. It doesn't shutdown after 5s, but it does on starting windows logo. This should not be a software problem right? Or sometimes it just freezes, here is an actual pic where it froze on the last steps of installation, like a dying GPU. I tried to repair computer, safe mode, fix errors, repair via cd - nothing worked. I did checked on the drive on PC2, it works just fine. I am able to view files. Heck I did an W7 installation there. It perfectly works. So I thought the drive is ok, its gotta be the psu. Using the W7 that I just used, tried to reformat that drive to PC1, good enough its installing as it should be. But after the 1st restart, in the completion process, it froze. Same as the one I've mentioned above. I restarted, now the 5 second boot problem again. - (I think I got this fixed by changing rams) Now I am now stuck again on the starting windows freezes. Sometimes it just freeze, other times it shuts down. I can't continue to the cd at all. I am at loss. I don't know how to fix this. Also I don't have a spare mobo or psu just to pinpoint faulty ones. But the fact that it just stops on starting windows screen, doesn't that make sense that its the HDD? - although it works fine as a drive when I use it on PC2. All help will be appreciated.
  11. Chrome don't take too much. 10% tops. The problem is when I boot my pc, its on 80% right off the bat with system tray applications only open. Solved it today, went to bios settings and saw something like "Load system fast boot memory" forgot what it is exactly, but I feel like it has the last system config to make the pc boot faster. I disabled it, now I am back to 17% ram usage at desktop. Currently using 4 tabs chrome, uTorrent, BlueStacks, Bandicam @ a total of 41%
  12. 3 tabs were open, but as I have said, even without chrome, at start up, its at 77% its a single 8gb stick. I was just wondering why its only happening now, I have my pc for more than a month right now, and this just happened 3 days ago. I was thinking its a virus of some sort. Or I don't know. I will try the bios speeds. Thanks
  13. Hi, recently I've had this problem where my pc stutters at some point in time, upon checking, I am at 99% ram usage.. Usually I just restart it, and it goes back fine at 20%. After a few days, when I start my pc, it goes up to 60%+, even when restarting, its the same.. Checked on google, they said use CCleaner. Haven't tried it though. But right now, as I booted my pc, its at 77% with uTorrent, Soundblaster, RealTek and KillerLan on the system tray. Opened chrome, now its at 82%. Normally this load should be not more than 40% ram usage. When I try to close everything, it doesn't go down.. Specs i5 4460 msi b85 g43 gaming 8gb 1333 kingston value ram 120gb crucial m500 1tb wd blue windows 8.1 May I know what causes this? What would be the solution? Thanks!
  14. Nope. No problem at all using VGA cable. Will try the dual link tomorrow. If that also fails, maybe I need to buy that DP to DVI adapter. Sucks tho. Thanks EDIT BTW, that picture I posted is at 1440p. Only the display is like a TV with very poor signal + picture problem.
  15. Tried Resetting to default. Still the same. Tried using another monitor, 19" 1366x768. Works fine. My card is 750Ti with DVI D, mHDMI, VGA Also tried custom reso thru nvidia and 1440p is fugly. Tried ung DP to DVI, doesnt work, maybe the adapter is defective, (got it for free though) - I dont want to buy a 10$ adapter if the culprit is the port. Is it really the monitors dvi? Or do I just need a dual link dvi cable? Can I also force HDMI to DVI to 1440p?
