  1. Update: I removed and then replaced the drive completely with an old one I had lying around, then when I put the damaged one back in it's started reading just fine so I'm mass transferring all my files, it's working for now but CrystalDisk is saying it's got a lot of broken sectors so it's getting chucked when I'm done. Thanks for all the help.
  2. I'm just wondering, I've just as a check done a HDTune scan on my main SSD and there's two damaged blocks on that. Considering it's barely a few months old, I wouldn't expect it. Are these just unrelated issues or could something corrupted from my main drive have started messing with things?
  3. Hi. So over the last couple of days I've noticed that games that I had installed on my larger storage drive were pretty slow to boot, and steam would occasionally freeze up altogether even when booting a game from my main SSD. Well today I went to open something from my WD drive and I can't even access files without it going unresponsive for at least a minute in between clicks. Looking in task manager and the activity is pinned at 100% and the read/write speeds are flatlining. Everything else on my system works fine and I can play games from my SSD no problem, I've tried swapping out SATA ports on my motherboard and checking all the connections and I can't find anything wrong there. I'm assuming it's goosed but I thought it best to ask before I go ahead and try formatting it. Losing the files on there isn't a concern, it's just the time to reinstall all the games I had on there considering how slow my download speed is but that's another story. I tried just copying over what I could but it took over an hour to to discover not even half the game files. Cheers in advance for any help!
