  1. Hi people, I have an old pentium 4 Northwood 3.00ghz machine and the fan on it is way too loud to even type, I’ve replaced the paste, cleaned dust etc and I think it’s just a loud fan,I can’t monitor the temperate because my motherboard can’t detect temps, (dell optiplex 170l large form factor) I’m trying to cool it with a fan on the side of it, I will later fix it onto the heat sink but I want to know if it will be suitable, below if a short YouTube video of it here; (Edit) I accidentally put 2 videos on this topic, both are the same though
  2. BEFORE you go and comment please don’t say “just get a new cpu, it’s old and outdated” e.c.t I Do Not Care So back to the topic I have a intel core 2 duo e7500 at 2.93ghz and it gets to a max of 50 degrees on both cores, is this too hot before it thermal throttles or is it ok thanks in advance
  3. Hey there again, I’m getting a graphics card for my friends old pc for his Christmas present and I want to know what connector this is, I think it’s a dvi, and where can I get an adapter for this to vga, thanks In advance

  8. Hey guys, i have decided to get a AMD hd 5450 graphics card for another dell optiplex of mine, the psu is only 250 watt and the card says it needs at least 400watts, my pci-e slot only supplies 45 watt, will i overload the psu or pce slot, the gfx card is here https://www.cnet.com/products/sapphire-radeon-hd-5450-graphics-card-radeon-hd-5450-1-gb-100292ddr3l/specs/ Leave any questions below....
  9. Hey there, thanks for you reply, I have figured out that I’m gonna use a gt 1030 as it seems like it meets my standards, thanks for your help
  10. Thanks, I’ve checked out a gt 1030 and it seems like it meets my standards for what I want, thanks for everybody’s help, I mark this thread as solved, thank you guys
  11. its only about a 250 watt psu, so to be safe max of 50 watts because the dell only supplies 45Watts to the pcie on the motherboard
