build is on a Z370 Gaming M5 by MSI.

As stated in the title, after I got my new rig I'm having issues with random black screens. I have an 8700k@4.8GHZ, 1070 ti, and 16gb ddr4@3200mhz (750W psu) Throughout the day, maybe once or twice it happens. PC restarts as normal and I proceed with what I was doing. So far I've tried memtest86, no errors.

Stable in Cinebench R20, 3871 score. I'm happy with it going to leave it alone now haha

Additional info I forgot in the OP, MB: MSI Z370 Gaming M5 Cooler: NZXT Kraken X62 Max temps on Cinebench R20 are about 65c at 4.9ghz 1.245v.

Hello! I am currently trying to overclock my delidded 8700k. I have it at 4.9ghz at 1.245v currently. Every time I try to go to 5ghz, windows will crash and give me a different error code each time. I've tried using 1.275v on 5ghz with the same issue. I'm fairly new to overclocking so I'm just wondering if I got the worst silicon lottery luck ever or there's something actually going on. Hey everyone! A few months back, I purchased the Z370 Gaming M5 with the intention of buying an 8700k with it, but never did. Since the new 9th Gen processors came out, I was wondering if I could buy a 9700k to pair with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Hello forum users! I just came here to ask if it would be possible to flash a bios onto the MSI Z370 Gaming M5 to include support for the new i9 cpus. The problem that I have, is that I don't have a cpu to put in the socket to use. If it's not possible I'm just going to buy the cheapest cpu for the socket I can, but I'm just wondering if it's possible, without spending the money.
