  1. Here sorry for the late replies, I’m super lost/confused, its loose obviously as nothing to connect to
  2. this is the most it goes the backplate is fully in I even tried pushing it with my hand but no clue doesn’t reach even with a lot of pressure. sidenote the wraiths screws seem to make a loud noise when trying to screw in I’m guessing are the springs but idk on other video turoials there’s tends to stick out a bit whereas this doesn’t so I’m guessing I ordered the wrong part thanks for your help as well btw
  3. Just using the stock cooler AMD Wraith Stealth Cooler and the one I bought (first link) the screw holder is just about short for it I don’t have the old wraith spire with the clip on thing for the plastic bit so I unscrewed that and tried fitting it but the screw holder doesn’t even pop out of the hole on the motherboard so it’s too short
  4. I’m back again so basically I bought this motherboard B450 Tomahawk and it came without a backplate as the previous owner took it. I got it for real cheap so I didn’t think much and ordered this backplate for the amd stock stealth cooler: Idealforce AMD CPU Fan Bracket for AM4 (B350 X370 A320 X470) Socket Retention Mounting Bracket, for hook-type air-cooled or partially water-cooled radiators (B120/B240) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07M8G1C31/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_RJZ4MHA5E5153XJ2NHDM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 I tried fitting this and realised that the screw to fit it in is too short to reach so now I’ve found this one which I think is the correct one I need Nikou Backplate - CPU Heatsink Bracket Backplane Backplate Good Heat Dissipation Back Sheet Iron Plate Stable Durable for AM4 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08FTCWJCY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_XAXC6KD6QWKTQ709DW1D?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 just wanted to confirm if this the right choice lol or I’ll have to order and return again thanks guys for the help in advance no clue how I’ve managed to build PC’s so far lol
  5. Thanks for the reply will do that maybe Thanks relief that even though I’ve been building PC’s never happend to me haha
  6. Hey guys so I’ve basically purchased this B450 motherboard which was used of FB marketplace, got it for a steal of a price and I kinda know the guy, just wanted to know that I can see like a little spec of thermal paste in the socket so should I return this or keep this board as it may not make a difference thanks guys
  7. The PC he has is an OEM pre-built from MSI Mine is just a custom PC which I've built myself. I tested the 1050ti and used in games for a bit as well for a bit and it worked fine but in his prebuilt system it isn't working at all
  8. (Well this post isn't really for me but for a friend. Basically he has sold his RTX 2060 MSI which came pre-built into his PC, and bought another GPU the 1050ti which prior was working fine as I even tested it in my system._ The issue is that when he boots his PC up there is a black screen and no video output seems to be displaying on the monitor which was just working when the 2060 was in the system It gives an audio response on the headphones like a beep but no display at all even through connecting it to the CPU. 0 Video Output seems to be coming up no bios or anything Everything turns on like lights, GPU fans CPU etc a noise is also heard through headset a bit different to how it used to be when turned on then nothing else, no audio output from windows or anything The PC I believe s a prebuilt MSI infinite S I believe and it has a i5-9400F CPU, which I think it has no integrated graphics however we tried plugging in a HDMI cable into the motherboard output and that also still has a black screen with no video being detected by the monitor. The GPU has been tried with a Display Port and HDMI and they seem to not have worked He's tried: Reseating the GPU (until it clicks into place) Connecting into the CPU Using different cables in the GPU I'd try and help but he lives a bit far and I don't really have a car Thanks for the help guys in advance
  9. Yeah I’m not really in a rush or anything anyways PC rn is working perfectly fine but doesn’t run some games like warzone but could wait till zen 3 release
  10. Yeah I could go for a 3300x but the problem is no one is selling any 3300x's around here in the UK , BTW most I can possibly spend is probably around £650 which is around $850 in USD I've been lurking around eBay and I've seen 1660 Super's go around for £150 used which is like $190. Also used Ryzen 2600 prices are around £100-80 which is $130-100. I also could just wait and find parts and buy them if I find a good deal and overtime build my PC. For now maybe I could buy a 1660 Super and use that for now and 144hz monitor I've seen on clearance so I can play in the meantime and overtime upgrade whilst I gather some more money. My PC was prebuilt but I've replaced many parts by like 5 years by now besides CPU and motherboard. Thanks for the help!
  11. Budget (including currency): £500-£650 Country: United Kingdom Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Competitive Gaming Mainly and tiny bits of editing. Sometimes Screen Recordings. Spotify, Game, Discord and Chrome open at one time with 2 monitors Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): 144hz 1920x1080 1 144Hz Main Monitor and 1 Side 60Hz Monitor. May upgrade to M.2 SSD Motherboard: Not sure yet but an ATX should do Case: Not sure about case or anything Peripherals: Already have all of them, but I wouldn't mind a new mouse like the corsair harpoon Extras: Any Tiny bit of Lighting or Case Built + A Cheap Small 144hz 1ms I'm just a bit confused on the case really and how to organise fans in out take and intake. Plus I don't know much about cable management and what to connect in the case. Please feel free to leave any other suggestions or parts.

  14. Hi all! A long time ago my HDD got corrupted and I was using that as my operating system. (luckily i backed everything up anyways) Then i upgraded to a ssd and realised that my psu dosent have another sata power cable, so i cant have another hdd Ive used this PC for about 3-4 years with upgrades besides cpu and mother board. Ive only been using a random 500w psu and i would like something that is fairly reliable with good ratings. Please recommend me any psu which has at least 3 sata power cables and is reliable. My specs: i5 4460 at 3.2ghz GTX 1050ti 4GB Samsung 850 Evo 250GB DVD Drive (TSST Corp CDDVDW SH-224DB PS (I'm from UK!)
